A new substance, harder and slicker than teflon or molybdenum disulfide. Its coefficient of .0001. It can be produced quickly, by one of two methods. The first obvious one is having the replicator produce it on any object; the second is a bit more laborious. Large quantities are made by converting a high-methane content gas into a plasma soup of atomic elemtents, and then allowing the carbon to drift onto a substrate where they for a coating. The nontoxic material adheres to almost any surface. The resistence of the material is incredibly high; a sapphire ball, at a pressure of 145,000 PSI, rubbed over a sample of the coating 5 million times caused the material to lose just 1 micron of its thickness.
