Karoma

You stumble through the portal and look around. You're inside a cave, but the entrance is open wide to let light and air in. To the right of you, what looks like part of the sea, or perhaps a lake stops a few feet from you. You can see through the clear water, and can see the water goes out beyond to cave wall.

"Good afternoon," a voice says. You turn and see a young woman about fifteen. Her brown hair goes down to her back and is pulled back in a braide. Her blue eyes twinkle with laughter as she watches you. "Welcome to my humble abode. My name is Alytha. Here, I adopted a karoma from Dragon Moon."

"Karomas?"

"Yes. Karomas. They are water creatures who have two front feet and a flipper on their tail. The normal ranks are whites, brown, black, purple, pink, aqua, Valentine, blue, orange, red, grey, yellow, green, fire, iridescent, rainbow, and serendipity. The higher types are Seaweed, Spacewater, ChoralRiver, Ocean, MoonFathom, Starwater, Firewater, Seastar, Airwater, SeaFlower, SpiritOcean, and DreamRiver."

"What type did you get?" She smiles.

"The choice of the Karomas is random, but I got lucky. I adopted a MoonFathom." She turns away and looks expectantly behind her. Soon, a little serpent-like dragon moves into the light.

"This is Heart's Blood, and she is female. MoonFathoms are male and female and they are third rank." You lean down and look at the Karoma, then turn and head out to the
tunnel or
minidragons.
