Gem Dragon Information

Gem dragons as a rule are anywhere between two and a half feet to four feet. They do not have legs, but they are streemlined and have large wings to take them where they need to go. They have a small gem resting on their forhead. As hatchlings they are a white-blue as is their crystal. They don't show their power until they grow to be an adult. As an adult, they tend to have a crystal of the same type of their magic floating around them. They also do not tell their Bondmates their name or gender until adult for reasons.

Coal: The gem on this one is black and the dragon is of mysterious ways. Powers: able to light anything with a small flame generated from its mind. Chances of Bonding: exceedingly high.

Clay: Earthy by nature, their gem and personallity is rather plain. These dragons love to play with clay and take nature walks. Powers: can build anything with clay. Chances of Bonding: exceedingly high.

Glass: Gems range in color, but are all glass. These dragons seem hard and sharp, but are loving. Powers: to melt sand into glass and shape it. Chances of Bonding: very high.

Sandstone: These dragons honor truth and can cut to the bone of a problem quickly. Powers: blasts of sand on their enemies, and can create whirlwinds of sand and sand dunes. Chances of Bonding: very high.

Amber: Beautiful dragons who enjoy fun and don't like to be hampered with sorrows. Powers: to enclose something with amber, and to shape amber itself. Chances of Bonding: very high.

Quartz: One of the more common ones seen by people, these dragons love strangers. Powers: they sing beautifully and can make the walls and crystals around them hum pleasently. Very good dinning music. Chances of Bonding: high.


Rank 2:

Amethyst: "Dream dragons." They are very shy and lovable. Powers: they have prophetic dreams, and they increase dreams in their bond mate. Chances of Bonding: high-medium.

Obsidian: Shiny, hard and sharp and can be chipped easily. These are friendly dragons who are hurt easily. (NOT for the introverts.) Powers: sharpening objects, and making helpful tools. Chances of Bonding: medium-high.

Mica: Shiny, pretty, these dragons are sweet and have sunshiny personalities. Powers: can make anything seem beautiful and can mix things together (e.x. drink, stones, food, textures...). Chances of Bonding: medium.

Copper: Shiny, very dependable and bendable. These dragons don't have a particular personality and can bend themselves around you. Powers: works with copper for jewelry and can put people into the moods of its bondmate's choice. Chances of Bonding: medium.

Jade:Most are dependable and as stubborn as the rock they get their gems from. Occasionally there will be a strange one like white jade. Powers: a healer, this one keeps itself and those around it healed instinctively. Chances of Bonding: medium.

Ruby: Loving, but fiercly independant. These are friendly with strangers only to a point. Powers: powers of the heart, both physically and emotionally. They can slow or speed the beat, or make two fall in love. Chances of Bonding: medium-low.

Sapphire: Dragons with quick minds and sharp thoughts, they are not afraid to hurt to get to the bottom of things. Powers: spiritual cleasning and they can help people get over bad situations. Chances of Bonding: medium-low.


Rares (Rank 3):

Gold: Pretty. All are female and high in the list, but low in the rares. Very protective. Powers: leadership, and can tame the wildest heart. 1 out of every 10

Emerald: "Tree dragons." Male and females. Loving, caring, and nurturing, but like earth, stubborn and stable. Powers: growing things to enormous heights and increasing magic potential in bondmate or enlarging the amount of magic. 1 out of every 12

Diamond: Male and female. Working dragons with the compassion of a rock. Don't be fooled, though, they are very loyal. Powers: can make balls of light and a master star gazer. 1 out of every 14

Fossile: Male. They act anchient, and are masters of knowledge. If they want, they can answer age old questions. Powers: the preservation of anything, including food, and it is still edible. 1 out of every 15

Star Sapphire: The highest female in the list. She is very queen-like, and she is very protective over all she considers hers. Powers: same as Sapphire. She can also create rocks into pure star matter and carve them beautifully. 1 out of every 18


Specials (Rank 4):

Opal: Beautiful dragons who have no set personallity. These dragons come in as many different types as there are opals. (Highest to lowest: Mutations- 1 out of every 25, Black- 1 out of every 24, Fire- 1 out of every 23, Water- 1 out of every 22, White- 1 one out of every 21, Milky- 1 out of every 20.) Powers: unknown.
