As you made your way inside, the dark emptiness of the house sent chills down your spine. "No one could possibly live here," you thought. You shined your flashlight around, trying to capture all your surroundings in the light, to give you at least some sort of comfort. You noticed symbols on the wall, by the old fireplace. "What does that mean?" you thought nervously.
It became obvious, that whoever lived in this house, did not bother to take any possessions with them when they left.... or IF, they left. Your thoughts were interrupted as a large rat scurried across your feet. "Oh my GOD!", you screamed. "This can't be happening to me." As if the rat wasn't enough to scare you, a gust of wind slammed the door shut behind you. With panic, you quickly turned to open the door, finding it to be stuck. You dropped your flashlight nervously, in hopes of being able to use both hands to pull the door open. No luck. "Oh my God, I can't get out." You reached down franctically to grab your flashlight, finding it to be broken. "Just perfect," you muttered softly.
You searched in the darkness, with the only light being given by the streaks of lighting coming in through what was left of the boarded up windows, hoping to find a candle, a match, anything to make you feel at little more at ease. You were startled by a loud crashing noise in the room beside you. "Hello? Is anybody here??" you asked with a trembling voice. No answer came.
I want to look around more.
