Yeah so on My Sims for the Wii, which is not at all like The Sims, you have to go "prospecting" for essences and shake trees, and one of the essences you can dig up is Puppy. I've only found three EVER though.

There is a bacon essence. You dig it up. There are also eyeball trees.

It's... well, if you like games where you go around and collect things and make things to get more points so you can get more things to make more things to get more points (COUGHWOWCOUGH), you'll like it. If you like, y'know, gameplay, you won't.
