This is in memory of a great horse. Her name was Darkils and I owned her for many years. When I left MV she was given to Nicole. When Darklis died, Nicole knew I loved her. She let my bury her here. Darklis died giving birth, to a filly I now own. The filly is an excact replica of her mom. Darklis could have been saved, maybe, if she had of been operated on. The only problem was that she was old and driving her to a hospital in the state she was in seemed unfair. I totally agree with Nicole's decision to put her down.

Darklis is burried underneath a maple tree. She used to love maple syrup when I ate my pancakes with her. Her grave is a away from most of the barns, but it's close to her filly. We are keeping Darklis's Secret right by the house so I can be with her whenever I need. Darklis is going to live on inside us forever. Her soul will forever be with WFS.
Darklis died on Tuesday, Janurary 27th, 2004 at 10:40 am.

Darklis was a very fiery mare, but the best mother id ever seen, she died giving birth to a beautiful filly. I owned Darklis since she was about 3. She taught me what it was like to event on a top horse. We won a bunch, we lost some. Together we were a team. Now that she's gone I'm still going to love her. I might think of her less with each passing day, but she's always going to be with me. Darklis will live on inside me and her foal. The filly's name is going to be Darklis's Spirt. Darklis is going to be incredibly missed but she will never be forgotten.
