There are lots of projects that your girls could help with. I am including some information with ideas. I would like to suggest some simple projects: making ornaments for our Christmas tree; greenery wreaths (dried, natural, or live) for our resident doors (there are 12 bedrooms); collecting pop tabs (or the whole can), a great ongoing project; collecting laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, other cleaning supplies for a "shower" for the House; baking cookies either here or bringing them from home (residents love this); making treat bags for the parents to take to the hospital and/or for the children in the hospital (include things like note cards, stamps, snacks, a hand drawn "we're thinking of you" card from the girls, activities like connect the dots, crossword puzzles, coloring books and crayons (there is one 15 year old in the hospital who has been there some time who loves those kits with the "velvet" pictures that you can paint that are available at Walmart and K-Mart); collecting coins for operations (we always need money); making a quilted wall hanging for our entry hall (we change them out according to the season). Hope these ideas help. We're certainly open to your suggestions. Come for a tour anytime...it gives the girls a great point of reference.
