Scientists believe that the Continent of Australia rose out of the sea millions of years ago. They have found fossils that could could prove they are right. Australia is twice as large as India and is as large as the United States. Australia can be split in different ways. There are six main divisions in this country New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, Queensland, and Tasmania. Australia also claimed one fourth of Antarctica.
