Australia has some of the best farmers. They are
very good wheat producers. Australia is the eighth country in the world in
producing wheat. There are parts of Australia where the farmers grow oats,
sugar-cane and cotton, maize and rice, fruits, hops and tobacco. The island of
Tasmania is the most important fruit producing area. Australia
produces many meats also. They have over 26,000,000 head of cattle in the
country.
