Later that
night, when the whole of the forest was silent, Horris’s eyes carefully opened.
At first a little peep and then completely. It was hard to see in the dark, but
the moon shone brightly and the stars twinkled far above.
Horris pushed
back his blanket and got out of bed. He tiptoed very quietly to the window and
looked outside. All was very still.
He crept back
to his bed and pulled a bag full of food out from underneath. He peeked inside
and sniggered, then threw it over his shoulder and leapt out of his window. He
silently made his way back towards the Park. |
