- Students keep a list of
words they do not recognize that they come across while reading. Students
enter the new words into the database and are required to look up the
definition of the word in the dictionary, rewrite the sentence the word
was found in, explain the meaning of the sentence, and finally, make up
their own sentence with the new word. What a great way to learn new
vocabulary and be sure your students are understanding what the new words
mean!
