- Lab Report Rubric
- The purpose of assessment is to
elicit prior knowledge, monitor student progress, guide instruction,
emphasize and reward student achievement, assign grades and maintain
a level of student accountability. Students must be presented with
well defined tasks that are aligned with the standards and the
curriculum. A rubric should be presented to the student before the
task is complete in order for students to have a clear understanding
of the teacher's expectations. The rubric should be used as part of
the learning experience instead of being a mystery or isolated
event.
- The following two rubrics I
created focus on assessment of laboratory and oral presentation
reports.
