About Us
Russell Cook and John Watson live in Timaru, New Zealand. Both have an interest in war history, more particularly first and second world wars. The Smithfield defence site was constructed in 1942 and after a visit to the site on 30 April 1995, coincidentally the 50th anniversary of Hitler's death, the pair decided something should be done to preserve these important structures. The following pages stemmed from that visit.
