Species List
This is our species page, listing the creatures available for application. If what you're looking to play is not on here, then its probably not allowed. We want to keep things fair around here. But Im sure one of these creatures will strike your fancy...
ANGELS:
A very rare species that have steadily been decreasing for many years. Few are known to still exist, most in isolated spots far from human intervention. Powerful both in hand-to-hand combat and in the magical arts, Angels pose a formidable threat when provoked. Often used as guardians for great and powerful treasures, Angels appear ever young and are known to sleep hundreds of years until wakened to fulfil their purpose.
CENTAURS:
This prideful, yet reclusive race lives in groups in forests near meadow areas. Separated into two clans, the Warrior and the Scribes, centaurs are either highly knowledgeable scribes or very strategic fighters. However, the centaurs are not just the well-known horse breed but creatures with reference to almost every animal. Loyal and strong, all centaurs believe in the strength of companionship.
DEMONS:
Ranging greatly, in size, power, appearance, and wisdom, demons are the most versatile species. All however are bloodthirsty and crave living flesh. Most are sealed underground in the caves of Branek but some still wander the lands above, most settling in remote area, preying on the unsuspecting traveller. But some prefer to terrorize and hunt their prey openly, even attacking villages and towns to feed.
DRAGONS:
Dragons are highly intelligent, with the ability to speak telepathically with anyone they choose. Varying in size and colour, dragons can breathe both fire and ice and look more like Western dragons than Eastern. Some dragons have been bonded to certain people. These are called Dragon-riders, as they are the only people who can ride the dragons.
ELVES:
Elves are highly reclusive wood spirits, which can appear and disappear at will, often taking the form of trees. They're tall and lean, with features like the trees they can become. Elves are swift and agile but also terrified of fire. Unless it is controlled, elves will not go anywhere near it. They hold powerful healing magic and are said to speak the very language of the land itself.
FAERIES:
Small and mischievous, faeries are neither good or bad but do have a tendency of being pests, some more than others. They are ruled by a high faery, who appears elf-like only far more beautiful. Faeries have delicate butterfly-like wings and dress in clothes made from the flowers and seeds that are associated with the season. They live in large areas of forest and can always be identified by the high-pitch giggling they emit before they start to play.
GOBLINS:
Nasty, lithe little creatures that crawl through dark places, mainly caves. They have huge eyes to see in the dark and attack in packs to surprise and overwhelm their prey. They are about the size of children aged 8 or less, hunched with grey/green, slimy skin. They also can't bear natural light, as it has a chemical reaction with the slime on their skin so it burns like acid.
HUMANS:
These have the largest species population. They live in villages, towns and cities, the largest of which is Enyon, the capital of Entria and home to the royalty. They have various skills but very few of them have the power to match a master of the other species. To do so earns them the right to the title of 'tamer' such as 'Demon Tamer' or 'Troll Tamer'.
INSECTOIDS:
Mainly drones, most insectoids have no mind of their own, following the orders of their Queen. The drones are weak and used for manual labour, the soldiers are more aware though with very little intelligence, often fighting before thinking. The only one with any intelligence is the Queen though she is prone to paranoia.
LUNAS:
Lunas are a form of pixie that only appears when the moon is full. They are gentle creatures that can heal any wound or poison with their song but are also very timid. Should a loud noise or fast movement scare them, they will scatter and not reappear until the next full moon. They look like tiny balls of light with translucent wings that scatter sparkles as they fly.
MINOTAURS:
These large half-man, half-bull creatures are a noble species, both strong and loyal. Though not entirely intelligent, they are skilled at what they know and can even do quite delicate work despite the size of their hands. Weak at magic, Minotaurs make up for it by being impressive fighters, able to use almost any weapon very affectively though they do prefer maces and axes.
MERPEOPLE:
These reclusive people aren't like Disney's version, a mixture of blue and green, and their tails look more like the solid dolphin variety. It's hard to tell whether they are male or female until they speak as their heads are covered in fins rather than hair. They do have arms rather than fins but the fingers are webbed and they do have gills but these can be shut off when above water. Merpeople are masters of the sea and can bend it to their will. One angry merperson can be accounted for almost any storm.
PHOENIX:
Only one of these majestic fire-birds still exists. With beautiful plumage and song, the phoenix is the symbol of Entria. The last phoenix is protected in the castle, where it has been living happily for the past 500 years. Phoenix's are highly intelligent, with healing tears and the ability to control fire itself. Some even say that the phoenix is telepathic but no actual event of this has ever been recorded.
SERPENTINES:
These rare creatures are known as the masters of serpents. Humanoid in shape they have bright white skin and are covered in scales. Their yellow eyes have thin slit pupils and their fingers ahve sharp, poisonous claws, which can kill if a scratch is deep enough. Their 'hair' is a mass of rattlesnake tails, which shake violently if the Serpentine is angry. They also have retractable fangs, a hissing voice and a seductive personality, using their charm to lure in victims.
SPIDERS:
Unfortunately giant spiders do inhabit the dark places of the world. Preferring to be left alone, spiders will eat any living thing they come across, or that happens to stray too close to their web. The slightest disturbance of the web's sticky fibres can alert the spider to possible prey. With paralysing venom, these spiders are best avoided.
TROLLS:
Trolls, in a word, are stupid. They have brains the size of a pea but, unfortunately, too much body mass. These things are huge, roughly 15ft tall, and are known to have a violent temperament. As the saying goes, 'If you see a sleeping troll, leave it!' Carrying roughly made clubs, which can sometimes just be a whole tree, trolls are not to be taken lightly, especially with their preference to flesh.
UNICORNS:
Though extremely rare, these horned horses do still exist. Said to have been born of sea spray and moonlight, the unicorns are incredibly beautiful, giving off an aura of purity when present. With silver hooves and horn, the unicorns are highly sought after, as they can purify water with a touch and ease a broken heart with their presence. They're also sought after as trophies, though very few people will look kindly on one who has killed a unicorn.
WERES:
These people are separate from Humans, though they may appear like them most of the time. But when necessary, they can transform into any half-animal creature. This creature shows the true inner self of the person. Often bearing wings, most weres aren't aware they are until they're in a situation where their ability becomes necessary, which can be quite a shock to those around them, including themselves.
