I-126 was opened in 1961, running as it does now. Adjustments: None Improvements: 4 lane freeway since inception. Comment: I-126 provides freeway access to Riverbanks Zoo and Downtown Columbia from I-26. I-126 is multiplexed in its entirety with US 76. According to Kurumi's I-126 entry, this was once proposed to connect up with SC 277. I-126 is not identified from I-26 EB, only US 76 is on the BGS's. The opposite is true on I-26 WB.

It is multiplexed with US 21-76-176-321 along Elmwood St. between Huger and Main Sts.
