INT. ROBOTROPOLICE BUILDING – ROBOTROPOLICE -
NIGHT
Robotnik is in his communication room. He stares at a STATIC-FILLED screen, hoping
for a response.
ROBOTNIK
Answer me, you fools! SLEET! DINGO!
The screen is still static.
DISSOLVE TO.
EXT. VALLEY – FLOATING ISLAND - AFTERNOON
Two bounty hunters, SLEET and DINGO are
sitting alone, eating food.
DINGO
Mmm, tuna fish, my favorite.
SLEET
Shut up and eat, Robotnik should be calling
soon.
Indeed, Robotnik’s voice EMITTED from the
communicator in Dingo’s bag, which he’s still wearing.
ROBOTNIK (O.S.)
SLEET, do you hear me? ANSWER ME OR YOU'RE BOT-BAIT!
DINGO
Huh? Boy, I must be hungrier than I thought. My stomach is really growling, and it sounds
like Robotnik.
SLEET
(sighs)
You are so stupid.
ROBOTNIK (O.S.)
DUNDER-HEADS!
You have 10 seconds to answer me, 10.
DINGO
Me? But I just said—
SLEET
It IS Robotnik, you moron!
Sleet REACHED in Dingo’s bag.
DINGO
Where?
Dingo STOOD UP, causing Sleet to FALL and
release Dingo’s bag.
ROBOTNIK (O.S.)
7, 6...
SLEET
On the communicator. Hold still you half-wit!
DINGO
Oh.
Sleet REACHED in Dingo’s bag again.
ROBOTNIK (O.S.)
5, 4, 3, 2...
Sleet found a little television-like
object. He set it on a TREE STUMP and
TURNED IT ON. Robotnik’s face APPEARED
on screen.
ROBOTNIK
1... About time! Where were you?
SLEET
Er...
ROBOTNIK
Silence! Apparently, the hedgehogs believed the
rumors. Intelligence reports they're on
the way. You know the plan. Turn the echidna against the hedgehogs and
get me the Chaos Emerald.
SLEET
And when we take the emerald, the island will
plummet down and crash!
ROBOTNIK
And the hedgehogs will fall with it!
Robotnik LAUGHED.
SLEET
Brilliant plan. We are on our way. Sleet out.
Sleet TURNED OFF the communicator and HANDED
IT TO Dingo.
SLEET (CONT’D)
Put that in your backpack and let's go find
the echidna.
DINGO
Uh, what's an echidna?
SLEET
Not what, you dolt, who! It's who guards this island.
CLOSE ON SLEET’S FACE
SLEET (CONT’D)
(slowly)
His name is...
(pause)
Knuckles. And he's in for a big Robotnik surprise. He’s strong and tough. Be careful, ‘cause he’s got two black belts,
Kendo, and the deadly Jeek Kung Do!
WIDER
Sleet and Dingo begin WALKING into the
forest.
SLEET (CONT’D)
He's tough, and he's especially known for
his—
Instantly, Sleet and Dingo FALL down a trap.
SLEET (CONT’D)
(yelling)
—traaaaps!
They fall with a loud BOOM.
CUT TO:
Deep in the forest of the Floating Island,
Aleena DROVE her motorcycle through, swerving through all the trees at high
speed. She looks back.
ALEENA
Okay, I think I lost them.
She looks ahead and WIDENS HER EYES in fear. Aleena SKIDS the motorcycle to a stop.
WIDER
Aleena stops right in front of FIVE SWAT BOTS
on separate HOVERCYCLES.
SWAT BOT
We know you have the disc.
ALEENA
Oh you do, huh? What’s your point?
SWAT BOT
By orders of Doctor Robotnik, you must
surrender the disc.
ALEENA
Really, huh?
Well, if you guys want it so bad, you better catch me!
Instantly, Aleena REVVED her motorcycle, SPUN
AROUND, and SPED OFF in the opposite direction.
SWAT BOT
Get her!
The five SWAT Bots TOOK CHASE.
SERIES OF SHOTS – MOTORCYCLE CHASE
Aleena SPED her motorcycle through the
forest, easily swerving through the trees.
Right behind her are the five SWAT bots on their hovercycles.
ON ALEENA
Aleena SLOWED DOWN her motorcycle to let one
of the SWAT Bots catch up.
WIDER
Up ahead is a flat log held UPRIGHT to act as
a ramp. Aleena HIT THE GAS and DROVE UP
THE RAMP!
SLOW MOTION
Aleena FLEW over the SWAT Bot behind
her. The SWAT Bot looked up... and
CRASHED into a boulder, emitting a lot of FLAME and SMOKE.
ON ALEENA
Aleena FLEW through the flames and back on
the ground.
REGULAR MOTION – ON SWAT BOTS
One of the SWAT bots pointed one direction.
SWAT BOT
You two, go that way.
Two SWAT Bots went left.
WIDER
Aleena drove through the trees with two SWAT
Bots following her.
ON TWO IN-COMING SWAT BOTS
The two SWAT Bots are coming toward her.
ON ALEENA
Aleena WIDENED her eyes. She had to think of something quick. She passed by a thin, yet strong, tree. She reached out, GRABBED IT, and yanked it
out of the ground.
ON IN-COMING SWAT BOTS
The SWAT Bots prepare themselves to fire on
Aleena.
ON ALEENA
Still driving, Aleena holds out the long thin
tree like a lance in a knight’s duel.
ON IN-COMING SWAT BOTS
The SWAT Bots are ready to fire.
ON ALEENA
Aleena successfully KNOCKED one of the bots
off their hovercycles and short-circuit, yet the hovercycle still moves! The other bot gets distracted, and missed
Aleena as she passed by.
ON TRAILING SWAT BOTS.
The still-moving hovercycle CRASHES into
another SWAT Bot, causing an EXPLOSION.
The two remaining SWAT Bots miss each other and they start chasing
Aleena.
ON ALEENA
Aleena SNEERS a GRIN on her face as she looks
behind her.
ALEENA
Come on, get closer.
ON SWAT BOTS
One of the SWAT Bots actually does get closer
and closer. It rides right next to
Aleena.
ON ALEENA AND SWAT BOT
The SWAT Bot REACHES for Aleena, but Aleena,
shoves its arm away and PUNCHES the bot across the face. The two engage in a FIGHT.
ON ALEENA
While fighting, Aleena LOOKS AHEAD and her
EYES WIDEN.
ALEENA’S P.O.V.
Aleena notices that she and the SWAT Bot are
heading toward a GIANT boulder!
ON ALEENA AND SWAT BOT
In a quick flash, Aleena TIED the SWAT Bot to
the hovercycle with the seatbelt. Then
she reaches in and FLIPS A SWITCH on the hovercycles steering bars, causing
them to lock in place.
WIDER
Aleena DRIVES AWAY and the SWAT Bot heads to
the
SWAT BOT
AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!
The SWAT Bot CRASHED in the boulder and
EXPLODES.
ON ALEENA
Aleena looks back and CHUCKLES.
ANOTHER ANGLE
The other SWAT Bot EMERGES from the flames
and CHASES ALEENA. After a second, the
SWAT Bot gets right next to her.
ON ALEENA
Aleena looks at the hovercycles EXTERNAL
ENGINE. The SWAT Bot gets ready to FIRE
at Aleena. Aleena, with a broken piece
of the tree in her hand, she DRIVES IT in the engine.
WIDER
In a FLASH, the SWAT Bots hovercycle FLIPS in
the air, CRASHES to the ground, and EXPLODES.
ON ALEENA
Aleena looks back and CHUCKLES. She drives off.
ALEENA
I hope my children have better luck than
me. If not, I hope they get help from
him.
She drives off down the valley.
FADE OUT.
