ACT THREE
FADE IN:
More and more trees were cut down as the
demolition continued.
ANGLE ON ROBOTNIK
Robotnik stood in the middle of it all,
enjoying himself. He laughed.
ROBOTNIK
I just love evil doing in the morning! No
more trees! No more landscape! Get rid of it ALL!
ANGLE ON CLIFF
As the tanks did as they were told, above,
the two hedgehogs approached via their transportations, the hover board and the
motorcycle.
CLOSER
Manic leapt off his hover board and leaned
over to the side of the cliff.
MANIC Man, Cyrus wasn't lyin'.
HEDGEHOG’S P.O.V.
MANIC (O.S.) (CONT’D)
Buttnik's definitely gone developer-crazy.
WIDER
Sonia joined him and looked down.
SONIA
That madman! He's nearly taken out the entire
forest!
ANGLE ON ROBOTNIK AND MACHINES
Some more tanks drove up to Robotnik, morely
in the shape of large pickup trucks. In their beds are large sheets of metal.
Robotnik once again laughed menacingly.
ROBOTNIK
I guess we can start construction! And when
it's finished, SONIC can be our test guinea pig!
He patted his ship next to him, where Sonic
was held captive at the moment.
ROBOTNIK (CONT’D)
Or... in his case, the test hedgehog!
ANGLE ON SONIA AND MANIC
After hearing this, the siblings gasped in
shock.
SONIA
He's got Sonic!
MANIC
Dude, Buttnik's gonna robotisize him!
Sonia stood up defiantly.
SONIA
Right! The first thing we do is save him!
ANGLE ON ROBOTNIK
Robotnik patted the machine containing Sonic
again.
ROBOTNIK
Enjoy your every last minute of freedom, you
frisky freedom fighter, because once the factory is complete, YOU'RE the first
victim.
Robotnik laughed again. He turned and walked
off to see more of the destruction.
SOMEWHERE ELSE
Tails and Aleena lifted their heads from
under some brush.
ALEENA
(whispering)
Okay, Tails, get to the back of the machine
and open the hatch. Got it?
TAILS
(whispering)
Got it? Hand me some C2.
ALEENA
Don’t need it. Try to pick the locks. It’s
quieter.
TAILS
Okay, thanks.
ALEENA
I’ll cover you.
Slowly, Tails moved his arms and legs behind
the fallen trees, toward one of the machines.
ANOTHER ANGLE
Tails heard some SWAT Bots coming, so he
dropped his head, hiding his whole body. The SWAT Bots passed by him unnoticed.
TAILS
(under breath)
That was close.
He continued crawling toward the machine.
ANGLE ON ALEENA
Aleena looked out and noticed that Tails is
almost at the hatch.
ALEENA
(under breath)
Whew, that was close. Well, I honestly had
confidence in him.
She turned her head, and she caught a
horrifying sight.
ALEENA’S P.O.V.
She saw Sonia and Manic coming down the
cliff.
ALEENA
(under breath)
If they see me or know I’m here, the prophecy
will be in danger.
With that, she slowly started her own crawl
behind the fallen trees.
ANGLE ON TAILS
Slowly, Tails crept behind the hatch of the
machine.
TAILS
All right. Release the pins inside, furthest
one in first, work my way back. I got it.
Tails stuck the two lock picks inside the
keyhole. He jiggled one of them and heard a click. He slowly pulled the picks
out and jiggled them again.
ANGLE ON ALEENA
Aleena kept on crawling quickly. All of a
sudden, she heard a SWAT Bot’s voice.
SWAT BOT (O.S.)
Moving object.
Aleena laid flat on the ground, hoping not to
be seen.
ANGLE ON SWAT BOTS
Two SWAT Bots walked to the area where Aleena
is.
SWAT BOT’S P.O.V.
They look around. Their scanners stare right
at Aleena, but cannot see her.
ANGLE ON ALEENA
Aleena slowly shifted her eyes up.
ALEENA’S P.O.V.
Aleena is looking straight up at the SWAT
Bots towering her. Neither one seems to notice that she is there.
ALEENA
(under breath)
Please, go away.
The SWAT Bots continue to look around. After
a while, the two looked at each other, shrugged, and left.
ALEENA’S P.O.V.
Aleena noticed the two leaving.
ANGLE ON ALEENA
She let out a sigh of relief. Slowly, she
crawled behind the fallen trees.
ANGLE ON TAILS
Tails jiggled the latch again. The latch
CLICKED.
TAILS
There.
Tails turned the keyhole a bit. Then, he
opened the latch slowly. Aleena slowly crept up behind Tails.
TAILS
You okay?
ALEENA
Fine. I was almost noticed. Let’s go.
The two slowly entered the machine, closing
the door behind them.
ANGLE ON CLIFF
In the meantime, Sonia and Manic had slid
down the cliff side. They tiptoed over to Robotnik's ship.
MANIC
Buttnik's got issues if he's talking to machinery.
Sonia hushed.
SONIA
Sonic must be in there. As soon as we find
him, we get together and destroy these machines!
MANIC
Gotcha', sis.
They slowly made their way under the ship.
After examining the clear coast, Manic chucked a pebble at the dock, and opened
down to the ground. The two hurried inside.
CUT TO:
INT. DARK PRISON CELL
Sonic was tied up heavily with rope, and hung from the roof in the back.
CLOSE ON SONIC
He groaned in disappointment.
SONIC
I guess this is the end.
He sighed to himself.
SONIC
Bad enough I don't even get a chance to defend myself, but I can't even get in
any contact with my sibs!
Just then, he heard a hatch open and two people scamper up.
ANGLE ON OPEN HATCH
He looked ahead to see two pink and green hedgehogs’ raced inside and look
around.
SONIA
Do you see him, Manic?
MANIC
No, sis. Hey wait!
Sonic's brother reached on the control panels and picked up something.
ZOOM IN ON CONTROL PANEL
MANIC (CONT’D)
His medallion! He can't be far!
WIDE SHOT
SONIA
He took his medallion?
Sonia growled.
SONIA (CONT’D)
That's going too far, Buttnik.
ANGLE ON SONIC
It was them! Manic and Sonia!
SONIC
Hey sibs!
Sonic called over.
ANGLE ON SONIA AND MANIC
The two's eyes widen. They looked over their shoulders.
SONIA
Sonic!
WIDE SHOT – SHOWING ALL THREE
SONIA (CONT’D)
Are you all right?
SONIC
I'm fine. Man, I've never been so glad to see you guys again!
Manic pulled out his drumstick, twirled it on his finger, then shot it towards
the rope that Sonic hung above, cutting it and sending Sonic crashing to the
floor.
SONIC
Although I should admit, the rescue was a little painful to the haunch.
Sonia jumped to Sonic and wrapped her arms around his neck, embracing a deep
hug.
SONIA
Oh, Sonic! Can you ever forgive us?
Sonic returned the hug.
SONIC
Hey, why wouldn't I? After all, you are my family.
Sonia pulled back.
SONIA
Seriously, we're terribly sorry for the way we treated you. I didn't mean
ANYTHING I said to you.
MANIC
Ditto.
SONIC
You guys really mean it?
Sonia nodded.
SONIA
Of course! After all, we can't fulfill this prophecy without you. You’re a team
player!
MANIC
By the way, bro.
Manic held out the guitar-shaped medallion.
MANIC
I think this belongs to you.
Sonic smiled, and took it.
SONIC
Thanks, guys.
He jumped to his feet and began tying his medallion back around his neck.
SONIC (CONT’D)
Now whattya say we kick Ro-Butt-Nik's tail?
Sonia and Manic held their fists in the air.
SONIA / MANIC
(in unison)
We're with ya!
CUT TO:
EXT. HOVERCRAFT
As soon as they all reached the bottom, they were immediately surrounded by
SWAT Bot lasers.
ROBOTNIK (O.S.)
So, it looks as if we got some unannounced guests!
Robotnik stepped forward.
SONIC
No offense, Buttnik, but who'd want to come with YOU as the host?
Robotnik growled.
ROBOTNIK
Get them!!!
Sonic grabbed Manic and Sonia's wrists.
SONIC
Hold on to your lunch, 'cause we're hauling haunch!
And with that, he zipped away, as the lasers struck empty ground.
ANGLE ON CLIFF
Sonic sped up the cliff, and once at the top, let go of his siblings' wrists.
They all turned to look down at the construction site.
SONIC
Let's demolish that demolition crew!
Sonic cheered on. The triplets rubbed their medallions to summon forth their
instruments.
As they played their song, Sonic and Sonia's lasers struck the SWAT Bots.
Robotnik hurried and retreated into his hovercraft. Meanwhile, the shockwave of
Manic's drums caused earthquakes below the tanks, as they fell into the forming
canyon below. All while the three sang their song:
SONIC
(singing)
I got the call today, I didn't wanna hear
But I knew that it would come
(pause)
An old, true friend of ours was talkin' on the phone
She said you found someone
(pause)
And I thought of all the bad luck
And the struggles we went through

(pause)

The band played a little louder.
SONIC (CONT’D)

The band played softer, and soon came to a slow end.
Once finished, the trio called back their instruments.
ANGLE ON MANIC
Manic pointed into the sky at Robotnik's hovercraft flying away.
MANIC
We got 'im good, sibs!
WIDER
Sonia looked down the cliff at the now damaged tank units and large area of
lands.
SONIA
We can grow what's been destroyed. One thing for sure; Robotnik'll think twice
before messing with a beautiful land for his own evil purposes!
SONIC
That's for sure!
Sonic hugged his sibs.
SONIC (CONT’D)
Now whattya say we go back home? ALL of us?
MANIC
Sounds like a plan to me!
Sonic zipped away off frame.
