Manic has been very upset. He has made his sister sad, but my children are about to learn an important lesson, about family.

 

INT. CURIOUS MEADOWS HOTEL - NIGHT

 

Mai looks over at the desk. Manic goes back to the room.

 

ON DESK

 

There is a pale woman sitting in Mai’s spot. She has short, bobbed, dark black hair, a white outfit, kind of looking like a lab coat, with black buttons all down the front. She was also wearing black boots. Not the prettiest lady ever.

 

MAI

Thanks Martha.

 

MARTHA

Anytime. We got two people staying here.

 

She got up and went through a door.

 

Mai looked at a computer that was sticking out the side of the wall. She clicked on a link saying, “LIST OF LODGERS” She saw that the new people Martha was talking about. We are unable to see, though.

 

ANGLE ON MAI

 

Mai got a mischievous smile on her face.

 

CUT TO

 

INT. CURIOUS MEADOWS HOTEL ROOM #12

 

Sonia was sitting on one of the beds, her head in her hands crying. Sonic was pacing around, thinking.

 

SONIC

Sis, you know, there’s something fishy about that girl Manic was with.

 

SONIA

If you’re trying to cheer me up, it isn’t working. I want Manic to be happy.

 

SONIC (CONT’D)

No. I mean, I’m not saying that to cheer you up, though I want you to cheer up.

There really is something fishy about her. If only I could find out more about her…

 

SONIA

Now that you mention it, I did see that she worked here.

 

SONIC

Hmm… OK. Here’s the plan.
