Centrioles align at opposite
ends of the pole and spindle fibers extend from the ends of the poles
to the middle of the cell. Chromosomes move until they line up at the center of the cell on the spindle fibers. Now, the chromosomes are ready to split apart and move to opposite ends of the pole . (Chromosomes split at the
centromeres)
