Soda Bubbles

I reach for the soda bottle,
carried by me all day.
The bubbles cling to the walls,
stuck in sugary confinement.
Too sweet for them to bear.
I slightly turn the lid.
The bubbles surge upwards,
waiting to be released.
The lid is barely off,
but the bubbles become impatient,
and spill out everywhere.
