Photo of Typewriter in 1800sYou and your partner will be assigned to research each of the following communication technology inventions from the 1800s:  camera, kinetoscope, stereoscope,  telephone, phonograph, typewriter, analytical engine, or telegraph.

You and your partner will research the inventions to argue which invention is the most worthy of the title "Impact Tomorrow" Award for the 1800s.  You and your partner will prepare a PowerPoint presentation to present to your group.  You must convince the group that your invention choice is the best choice.

When your team has presented to the group, the group will reach a consensus to choose one invention as having the most impact.  You will then select a group spokesperson to present your findings to the class.  As a class, each group will hear from each group spokesperson and view their slideshows.  As a class, you will reach consensus in choosing one invention as having the greatest impact

You will each become a reporter for the "Tech Impact Herald Journal" and prepare a pamphlet for the newspaper with articles reporting on each of the inventions and a news release describing your class choice as the "Impact Tomorrow" Award for the 1800s.
