4. Objectives-
|
1.After reading Act I, the student will begin to record information
in a data retrieval chart to facilitate drawing parallels between the characters
in The Crucible and citizens of the United States after the tragedy of
September 11, 2001.

3.Students will write letters to the editors of a local newspaper (ie.
The Greenville News, Tribune Times, etc.) and a national newspaper (ie.
The New York Times, The Washington Post, etc.)communicating his/her opinion
regarding the idea of prejudice and civic responsibility. |

1.The student will complete a teacher-designed Anticipation Guide listing
his/her knowledge of witchcraft.
2.The teacher will use a power point presentation to introduce the
history of witchcraft and its relationship to the newly formed American
colonies.
3.The student will use cooperative learning to create a working definition
of prejudice. |
