Introduction to the WebQuest |
|
Yellowstone National Park was first
considered to be a hoax by all those that heard of it for nearly 100 years.
With such descriptions such as volcanic activity, waterfalls spouting straight
up into the air, gurgling ponds, and acres of water covering the earth not to
mention peaks rising straight up in the air and enormous waterfalls. How could
such outrageous sites truly exist? It was not until 1872 that it gained
its true status in the world as a National Park.
Today, Yellowstone National Park is known as a national
ecological treasure which should be conserved.
