Objectives
1. The student will be able to state and use the scientific method.

5. The student will identify animals as vertebrates or invertebrates.
6. The student will show an understanding of natural selection by identifying
why some animals continue to exist and others vanish.
7. The student will be able to identify different climate regions and the
species within them.
8. The student will be able to place organisms in correct order in food chain.
9. The student will be able to identify parts of plant and the function of
each part.
10. The student will be able to care for and grow plants.
11. The student will be able to identify 5 traits that are inherited.
12. The Student will identify the 5 senses, their importance and how we use
them.
13. The student will state the name and function of major body parts and organs.
14. The student will be able to read a body thermometer.
15. The student will be able to identify healthy and unhealthy habits.
16. The student will be able to identify good and poor nutrition.
