Employability and Life Skills Lab
1. Will be able to follow directions and observe regulations.
2. Will be able to measure and identify the correct abbreviations for these
measurements.
3. Will demonstrate knowledge of kitchen safety.(fire, electrical, knife,
etc)
4. Will demonstrate knowledge of proper food storage.
5. Will be able to clean food preparation areas properly.
6. Will be able to cook a simple meal independently.
7. Will be able to read and answer questions about a recipe.
8. Will demonstrate proper eating habits and etiquette.
9. Will demonstrate the proper way to set a table.
10. Will demonstrate knowledge of food service occupational safety.
11. Will be able to work with others.
12. Will be able to sew on buttons.
13. Will be able to hem clothing.
14. Will be able to iron clothing.
15. Will be able to make a simple item from a pattern.
16. Will make items for sale.
17. Will complete the PAES Consumer Homemaking assessment.
18. Will learn a hobby that can be done throughout life.(stenciling, cross-stitching,
needlework, etc)
