The Plainsmen finished second to Colonie at the Section II Championships run at Shen on May 25th. The Plainsmen failed to defend their seven year victory streak.

Patch winners for Shen were as follows. Darrell Andruski was third in the 1600 with a 4:30.3. Wagner Samaniego was second in the 400 hurdles with a 57.9. Andruski won the 3200 with a 9:25.6.

Pat Harrison won the pole vault with a 13-6 jump. Chris Cooper was second with 13-6. The 4x400 relay team of Wagner Samaniego, Andy Street, Tsepo Simpson, and Sam Silver was third with 3:30.1.


The girls won their sectionals at Averill Park on May 24th with 129 points. Colonie was second with 113.

Tara Ross was third in the 100. Kristin Risch took second in the 200 with a 26.9. Lisa Srok was second in the 400 with a 59.7.

The 4x100 team of Holland, Maguire, Risch, and Robertson won with a 50.9. The 4x400 was third with a 4:05.9.

Dana Razzano was second in the long jump with a 16-0 effort. She won the triple jump with a 35-3.5. Risch was second in the triple jump with 34-10. Katie McDonough was third in the high jump with a 5-0. Jamie Stitt won the pole vault with a 10-0.

The girls throwers continued their winning ways as Kelly Hagner won the shot with a 36-11.5. Vicky Pasche was second with a 35-9.5. Pasche won the discus with a 110-3 and Hagner was second with a 109-5.
