White-91 Green-90
**Note-The above score was compiled using the Suburban Council scoring method

This highly anticipated event lived up to its billing, as the meet came down to the final few events. White came out on top behind winning performances by Scott Schulte in the 3200m and John McClure in the triple jump.

In the 4x800, Green decimated White with the team of Ela, Slater, Andruski, and Lynch. The 1600m was much more of the same as Lynch and Andruski went 1-2.

The 400 hurdles and 400m belonged to White as Chris Cooper won the hurdles. Sam Silver and Wagner Samaniego went 1-2 in the 400m for White.

In the 800m, the showdown between four great 800m runners was a 5-4 victory for Green. Darryl Slater won it for Green with a 2:07. Shaun Horan and Zach Hansen took 2nd and 3rd for White and Green's Erik Ela was 4th.

Schulte, as mentioned before won the 3200m, but Jeremy Relyea finished second with a personal best 10:38. Green's Mark Gaedje and Mike Hauser were 3rd and 4th. Hauser ran 10:55 to break 11:00 for the first time.

The 4x400 was quite possibly the best event of the meet. Green third leg Darrell Andruski gave chase to Jim Chambers to put Green in the hunt. This set up an unforgetable anchor leg race between Lynch and Silver. With Coach Jones looking on in eager anticipation, Lynch made a move on the back strech.
Silver pushed up to take the lead with 150m to go and forced Lynch to go outside to pass him. Silver was just barely able to hold on for the White victory.

In the high jump, Ammon Nelson won for Green. Kevin McGrath also won in the shot put for Green, but McClure's triple jump victory and a White domination of the pole vault led White to the victory.
