I'm of course opposed to terror, any rational person is, but I think that if we're serious about the
question of terror and serious about the question of violence we have to recognize that it is a tactical
and hence moral matter, incidentally tactical issues are basically moral issues, they have to do with
human consequences. And if we're interested in let's say diminishing the amount of violence in the
world it's at least arguable and sometimes true that a terroristic act does diminish the amount of
violence in the world hence a person who is opposed to violence will not be opposed to that
terroristic act. --Noam Chomsky
In Toronto someone blew up a cruise missile warhead plant. 10 slightly hurt. 4 million dollars damage.
Is it wrong to destroy private property when it's used against you and me? Is that violence or self
defense? You tell me. --Dead Kennedys
It is very important to remember that anarchists have gotten a very bad reputation from the media and other sources. We are seen as crazed terrorists who bomb random places to achieve chasos. Of course this is far from the truth. I believe that anarchists are terrorists in a way. We only bomb those places that present a threat to humanity or the existance of animals for that matter. We choose to attack those places that profit from suffering such as banks, corporations, fast food restaurants, factory farms, the list goes on. It is also important to remember that direct action does not just include vandalism. Direct action includes passing out newsletters, pamphlets, and zines, organizing protests, boycotts, and speeches, and anything else that can raise public awareness to the atrocities that take place in the world. Direct action is the best friend of any true anarchist. With it we can bring the governments of this world down causing the people to have real freedom and real hope. Only then can we be free from injustice, greed, and slavery.
