A little bit about us

My name is Heather and I am 21 years old. My husband Andy and I just celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary on May 27th, 2001. We met in January of 1998 and have been inseperable ever since.

Andy and I live in a 2-bedroom house in Greenville, South Carolina. We have 2 dogs, a beagle named Lily and an American Eskimo named Julie. We also have 4 cats, although all of the cats except for 1 live outside.

I was born in Fairfax, Virginia in 1979. We lived in Herndon, VA until my younger brother Colin was born in 1983, when we moved to Greenville, South Carolina, where my mother grew up. We've lived here ever since. I have 2 other younger siblings: my brother Zeb was born in 1987 and my sister Hilary was born in 1989. My parents divorced in 1997 and my mother remarried 2 years later. My father, who now lives in Gaffney, SC, is planning to remarry sometime later this year. I graduated from Greenville High School in 1997 and went on to become certified as a floral designer in 1998. My hobbies include writing, reading, web page design, cross-stitch and flower gardening.

Andy and his family are from Georgia. His mother, stepfather and older brother live in Glenwood, GA and his father lives in Atlanta, GA. We met while he was attending Furman University in Greenville, SC as an English major. Andy adores playing with and fixing computers and last year he became A+ certified, which means that if you tell him your computer is broken he will begin to salivate and beg to fix it for you. *grin* He now works as an Wireless Center Sales Associate and he hopes to be able to get his certification in Network Plus and MCSE by the end of this year.

Our beautiful little girl Lakin Leigh joined our family on July 16, 2001. She is the absolute light of our lives. She weighed 5 lbs 14 oz at birth and was 18 3/4 inches long, a tiny little fairy baby. She has lots of dark reddish brown hair and bright sparkly blue eyes and the longest fingers, just like her mama.

We plan to have one more child (in 2-3 years) and would like to buy a house in or around Charleston, SC in the near future.
