From Jane Coddington to Margie Malone
Jane sent this clue:
Another exchange is coming to a close,
I sure hope my partner isn't having any woes,
Thinking she might have been left off the list
And won't be getting a gourd -- that she's been missed
Oh, contrare "person of days" who lives far away
It's this darn clue that's been keeping your gourd at bay
Now 'tis the time to keeping watching the mail
A package is enroute --Holiday Wishes prevail!
Clueless in New York
Her gourd went to Margie Malone:

From Joyce Howard to Ann Eubank
Joyce sent this clue:
Not long ago on a vine all tangles
Grew this image now an angel.
Her halo of gold and a candle aglow
With sparkling lights around the tree do flow.
No more is it just a gourd
Soon to be in the land of ord.
A holiday gift via the exchange
The extent of best wishes knows no range.
So happy am I that this recipient joined
And from their depository, shares no coin.
Her gourd went to Ann Eubank who said:
This has been a really great day! I finished my exchange gourd to send, the sun was shining and I was out photographing it on the blue spruce tree and yew bushes in front of my house when the mail came with a box for me!
Joyce Howard from Iowa, you could not have sent a better gourd than the one I received. I am such an angel freak at Christmas that my tree is decorated completely and solely with angels ever since we were past the stage of kiddie ornaments, and the top of my piano is full of standing angels at Christmas.
That is where your darling angel will reside (probably year round,
because the rest of the year my gourds live there).
Joyce's angel is on a whole gourd, sponge painted deep green, with gold stars all around, except for a panel in front left natural, with a daintily etched woodburned angel, spread winged, in flowing robes, holding a candle.
She has blond hair, blue eyes, a gold halo, corally pink robes and is standing on a cloud. Beautiful job, Joyce. I couldn't be happier than to have this new addition to both my angel and gourd collections!

From June Walton to Nancy Hardesty
June sent this clue:
I'm almost finished
And on my way
To find a new home
"Where?" you say.
Santa and Cardinal race north
To where a great gourd rolled.
Near America's Crossroads
Or so I've been told.
Will my home be near a lake
Or on the plains?
Does it point to royalty
Maybe...But...not in Maine.
Her gourd went to Nancy Hardesty who said:
WOW!!! What a wonderful surprise I had today! My mail man stuffed a huge box in my mailbox. I was really cussing him since it was stuck and I had a terrible time getting it out! We installed a very large mailbox this summer because he was doing this with the smaller one and it was all bent out of shape and the door wouldn't close. Guess this box still isn't big enough. Back to the subject of the exchange...June Walton sent me an adorable gourd with a dark blue background and a Santa sitting on snow near a fence, patchwork stars all around and a poem. A cardinal on his shoe and what a great job she did on it. I absolutely love it!!! the poem says: Leave milk and bake cookies for Santa's snack, While he fills your stocking with gifts from his pack. The fence goes all around and has little hearts on each post. Adorable. She also sent me a beautiful white gourd ornament with ribbon and bells and all trimmed in gold. Plus added some White Oak acorns for me to use as accents on my projects. Thank you very, very, much June, I will treasure your gifts always. It made my day!

From Karen Kirkland to Diane Swenson
There once was a gourd from Albany,
who found that she hadn't a penny. To the west she did ride,
with nothing to hide.
She's hoping to make a big hit,
in a state proud of having 2 bits.
A state to her.... foreign
and a poem that is boring.
No Christmas signs,
Beads are hers by design.
Hope you guess my clue!
Merry Christmas to you!

Kimberly sent this clue:
Gingerbread men dance merrily
with hearts in their hand
awaiting their arrival
in a new and strange land.
From one coast to the other
a long trip to take
to find a new home
and happy someone make.
Her gourd went to Chris Lalone who said:
I received my exchange gift from a patcher from North Carolina.
The note that was included indicated that I might just be a little bit
disappointed not to get an exchange gift from one of the "great artists" on the list. I will allow that are many artists on the list, some
great, some new, some waiting to find their niche in art, or craft.I have read all of the "I got mine" posts, and notice that most of the
recipients place their new treasures on display immediately, regardless of the season. My new gourd treasure is in a place of honor on our living room table, even though it is slightly early for the holidays.
Kim Kerby claims to be new to gourds. She also claims to be
occasionally surrounded by witches(timing could account for that.) If this is true, her witch friends inspired her to create a truly festive piece of gourd art. (Maybe we should do a Halloween exchange next year.....)
As I sit at my keyboard, I am looking at a beautiful blue gourd bowl,
properly sealed to contain chips, pretzels, or most appropriately, holiday cookies!
Kim very carefully left the natural color of the gourd to produce a
group of gingerbread men, hand-to-hand, separated by hearts, and added detail to finish the theme. Wonderful Job!
Wait 'til you see the picture, patchers!
Thanks Kim!

From Lisa Falcon to Paulette Perez
Lisa sent this clue:
There once was a gourd
from Sandlady's farm
That traveled with others
without any harm
To a girl in Vancouver
who was anxiously waiting
To begin her painting and decorating
She started off painting
some red Christmas flowers
But in seconds messed up
what took several hours
So she cleaned the paint off
and started again
With a great new idea
she had to begin
Now the gourd's finished
and looking quite grand
With red and green flocking
and a handmade gold stand
With trims and a tassel
it's dressed up to go
Across the border
to its final home
Where it is going
is not really far
It would take about
a day by car
It is a place
that I have never seen
In a state that is
forever green
Her gourd went to Paulette Perez who said:
I got the most Beautiful Christmas Gourd Bowl in the mail today from Lisa Falcon in Canada. It is gold on the inside and flocked in green and red on the outside with beautiful trim around the top and down the sides with a gold tassel at the bottom. This most beautiful gourd sit's on a really nice gold stand that Lisa made. Lisa has this gourd displayed in Photo Point, everyone should take a look at it. It is very beautiful and I am most happy that I am the lucky person to receive it. Thank-you Lisa.
