Gay Wright sent this clue:

Gourd Mask Clue::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

A man from Cuba went
to Guiana with money to be spent,
searching for a sheath gourd.
high and low through the patch did he ford.
Now that he had reached his peak,
Onward did he seek and seek
to select the best to be covered
the endowments he had newly discovered
But lo....".Mo-'Mon" he did not have.
The Great Ceremonial Mask for the ritual rite
for making of manhood complete on the site
So, to make the journey a success, without second
guess to bring the man and the mask together for the
quest I better send the Mo-'Mon Mask to guard the
endeavor when the Cuba man and sheath gourd are joined
together.

So the 'point' being that the mask is the guardian of the Great Sheath
Gourd patch and seekers of sheaths, anything beyond that is pure garden puckys except that the clue is in the poem for
who gets it. Good luck, the mask will be viewed by the Capital of Texas Gourd patch meeting on Saturday before making its journey onwards. Gay

Ps: As natural as I could get for the Great Ceremonial "Mo-'Mon Mask"; some of the materials used are gourds, pits, bone, sisal rope, shells, copper, nuts, feathers, wood burning and inspiration from our friend Paulus Importantus from Australia and the great rotflol joke we had last year .

Her mask went to Elaine Endicott:
Gay Wright sent her mask to me
It is neat.....it was made from several gourds....one large, for the face, two small rounds ones for the eyes, and nose is the top of another gourd with stem attached. It has feathers for the headdress rope around its eyes, with seashells, pits, bones, tusks around it's mouth, ect, ect, ect. It is hard to describe, sure hope she took a picture. I love it and it has already found a place on our wall, but first
it will go to the Florida Gourd Show where they will be shown off.

I established my farm in 1993 in the country area of Central Texas near Austin. Since that time I have become an avid gourd grower and
art/crafter. My background includes 8 years of art training and 30
years of hands on training in the wall covering and custom art
application business. I have done many carfts in the past, but have
never had the feeling of so much soul that I have with gourds. I am a
member of the Texas Gourd Society and the Capital Area of Texas Gourd Patch in Austin. I give tours of my farm and sell out-of-the patch gourds and crafted ones.
