To multiply items, go to the man in Virridian city and let him show you how to catch a pokemon. Then you put the item that you want in the sixth position. Then fly to cinnibar island and surf arround where it looks like half land and half water. Eventually you will run into a missingno. #000. DO NOT CATCH HIM!!! He will mess your game up. Instead, just kill him or run away. The item in sixth position will now have a weird symbol next to the number.
