He stared down blankly into the little plastic Dixie cup. He sighed and drew the poly coated rim up to his lips, he opened wide and the prozac slid down his throat. He closed his trite green eyes and let his head fall against the magazine table.
"Dantay." The ever so familiar unenthused voice said hovering over him.
He sat up reluctantly and glared into her name tag.
"What" She seemed startled.
"Emotion" Dantay muttered, he rubbed his eyes and said "I never knew your name. I now do, Susan"
She cocked an eyebrow.
"What, I know your name, its not like I know your social security number, not even that would mean much, I mean, I am trapped." He looked around him and stood up, he walked over to the window and ran his fingers against the frigid metal that kept him from fully perceiving the bare tree that stood only feet away as a whole. The sun was going down and the first stars were beginning to pierce the sky. He leaned his head against the metal and sighed. He turned around and the nurse was leaning into him. He opened his mouth and murmured something as she felt around the inside of his cheek and under his tongue.
"I hate the taste of the gloves" He muttered as she wrote something on his yellow chart.
"How else am I going to make sure you took the pills."
"Why am I here?" He questioned, she looked up at him and sighed.
"You're such a beautiful waste" She turned and walked away.

He sat in the corner of his padded room. "Its like a prison cell" His roommate said aloud, out of nowhere.
"I always thought padded walls were so cliché." Dantay ran his fingers through his hair and let his head slide down to the ground.
"So did I."
"What kind of name is Lucky?" Dantay questioned, closing his bloodshot eyes.
"I'm not sure. It doesn't live up to its meaning I can tell you that."
Dantay opened his eyes and sat up, he pulled his knees to his chest and held them to him.
"I heard a voice." Dontay said.
"High pretence my friend. We all heard a voice. Its not till were in this" Lucky paused and slammed his fist against the wall and rose to the window "CELL that we realize that voice was merely our conscience telling us 'dude, the world's fucked, you don't deserve this shit man, shoot your psychology teacher SHOOT HIM."
Dantay laughed uneasily and pulled on Luckys leg.
"Luck, they're gonna shoot you up again" Dantay whispered.
"Fuck" He lowered his voice and laid his head on Dontays shoulder.
"What'd you do. Rob a bank and blame it on your invisible friend."
"No." He pulled up his sleeves and exposed his deep red slits.
"Fuck" Lucky jumped and ran his fingers against Dantays skin.
"Love?" Lucky questioned touching Dontays lips.
"Everything is provoked by love. This love was more of a desire though. I wanted to be a rock star. Its not all it's cracked up to be. All the criticism tore at me. I couldn't take it. I wasn't the rock star though." Dontay stood up and leaned his head against the window. He looked towards the sky and sighed.
"I don't get it." Lucky questioned anxiously.
"My twin brother Phoenix was. He jumped off a bridge and left me his existence."
"You multiple personality pathological liar." Lucky rose and inched as far away from him as he could.
"I DID, I DID HAVE A TWIN, WHY DOESN'T ANYONE BELIEVE ME" Dontay screamed into his hands. He pulled back the tears and slammed his head into the corner.

Dontay woke up the next day taped to a flat white bed surrounded by people in lab coats.
"A prime example." He kept hearing them say. Their faces were blurred and he couldn't make out every aspect of their conversations.
"What am I doing here?" He said trying to pull his hands free.
They all gave him subsiding glares. He looked down towards his wrists and then back into their faces.
"You've seen it before." He screamed, he struggled to loosen himself.
He looked towards the glass slit the window where Lucky stood watching.
"You Schizophrenic bastard" Dontay yelled through clenched teeth.
He felt a sudden surge of pain, he looked towards his right arm and watched as they injected clear white fluid into his trembling body.
