Multimedia
Means more than one medium. In computers this means using various software (programs), primarily graphics, text, and sound.
Characteristics of Multimedia
- Uses a combination of text, graphics, animation, movies, and sound
- Usually based on timelines. Elements in each slide appear and disappear at designated times (similar to PowerPoint)
- Interactive-able to jump to various locations within the presentation regardless of the timelines established.
