Dale Earnhardt was one of the greatest drivers that NASCAR has ever seen. Although he drove pretty rough at times (Terry can certainly attest to that!) he knew what he needed to do to get the job done, whether that job was winning the race or, as in the case of this year's Daytona 500, helping two of the cars you own get the top two spots.
Unfortunately, the same style of driving that won Earnhardt so many races and championships this time cost him his life. Let's just hope that we can all learn a lesson from this tragedy that winning is not always everything.
