MIXER DANCE
Gather everyone in a circle if possible and have the men in one circle to the outside, and the ladies in a circle on the inside. Begin to play your music. The men move to the left in a circular pattern and the ladies move to the right in a circular pattern. Have one person stop the music at intervals. Whoever you stop in front of is your dance partner until the music stops again, then you travel in the circular pattern until the music stops and repeat the process for about 10 minutes. This gives the group a chance to meet other guests. Let each couple dance for one or two minutes before stopping the music each time.
ANOTHER MIXER DANCE
If you don't have the room to make circles, you can give each guest a name of another guest when they arrive. Tell them to look for that person and when they find them they must dance with that person for one full dance. Then they must exchange names with someone else and repeat the process.
SPIN THE BOTTLE GAME
Gather the guests in a circle and put a large bottle in the middle. Have each person spin the bottle at least once. Whomever the spinning bottle lands on, the person spinning has to give that person a hug.
BURST THE BALLOONS GAME
Have enough 9-inch round balloons blown up beforehand for each person to have one and line your guests up in two or three rows. If you have three rows use three chairs. The chairs should have wooden or firm seats. If you use two lines just use two chairs. Place the chairs at the head of each line. Give each guest a blown-up large round balloon. At the word, GO, each guest goes to the chair in the front of that line and tries to sit on his/her balloon and burst it. Then the next one in that line does the same thing. The first line to burst all their balloons wins.
WHAT WAS SAID? GAME
Get all the guests to sit in a circle. The host whispers something to one of the guests, then in turn, each guest whispers what he/she heard that person say to the next person. At the end of the group, that person tells what was said. It rarely is what the host said to begin with though. The host should tell what was said in reality.
HOW MANY TIMES DO YOU WANT TO EAT CHOCOLATE? GAME
1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to have chocolate. (try for more than once but less than 10)
2. Multiply this number by 2
3. Add 5.
4. Multiply it by 50

5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1751.... If you haven't, add 1750 ..........
6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.
You should have a three digit number .....
The first digit of this was your original number (i.e., how many times you want to have chocolate each week).
The next two numbers are your age.
