Recently married in Rhode Island were Avaloner Cherie Paliotta and Kevin Adams. The two
love birds are currently enjoying their honeymoon.
The latest edition to the "Oxygen Tour" is Christian Music newcommer Joy Williams.
This tallented young woman is currenty on the Summer Jam Tour with Newsong and
Anointed.
"Oxygen" has had a five week run at the top of Christian Album Sales Charts. Avalon's latest disc may
come to be their most popular ever! Follow the charts every Monday at www.ccmupdate.com.
6/6/01: Solo Projects
Two members of Avalon will be in studios later this year recording solo projects!! That's right -
Janna and Jody each have a solo release slated for 2002. However, they are NOT
leaving the group. Look for Jody's disc in next spring and Janna's in the summer!
Avalon holds the top spot on Inspirational Radio Charts with "The Glory" today.
Avalon's next single will be the fabulous dance song "Wonder Why," which is the first
track on their CD "Oxygen." It should be released to the radio soon! (This information is courtesy of

6/2/01: Wedding Bells!
Congratulations to Cherie, who will be marrying Kevin Adams on July 29!
We love you Cherie! She'll be the third Avalon member to marry.
The "Oxygen" Tour will begin this fall. Well known artists such as ZOEgirl and Jump5 will join

6/2/01: Dove Awards Preformance
During their preformance at the 2001 Dove Awards in April, Avalon sung their beautiful song "By Heart,
By Soul" with Aaron Neville. In this picture, featured in CCM Magazine, Janna and Jody
thank Arron for lending his vocals.
"Make it Last Forever" was another great hit. It held the top spot on CHR Charts for two weeks.
"The Glory" held the top spot on AC Charts for four consecutive weeks! This is one of their
most popular songs ever. Way to go Avalon!
Avalon will be one of the preformers at this years Dove Awards Ceromony, along will
Rachael Lampa, Mary Mary, Plus One, Point of Grace, Third Day, and others. For more

Guess who's on the cover of Christian Music's most popular magazine this month? That's right -
Avalon is the major story in CCM's April publication, with a long and intresting article about
some of the trials and joys they have dealed with in the past month. Also mentioned
in the article is Avalon' s upcoming disc "Oxygen." CCM tells us to expect agressive pop and R&B
on the CD, as well as some "nods to general market hitmakers like 'Nsync and Backstreet Boys."
Says Cherie, "I am really excited about the title "Oxygen." That's one thing in this whole entire
world that people cannot dispute - we can't live without oxygen. And that's how we fell about Christ."
Last week, two singles debuted from Avalon's soon to come album, "Oxygen." "The Glory" and
"Make it Last Forever" break records as they enter Christian and Adult Contemporary Charts,
respectively. Call your local station and vote for these songs! Lets help send them to number one.
Michael Passons writes another addition to the online journal at avalonlive.com. In it, he informs us
of some exciting news. CHERIE IS ENGAGED! She will be the third Avalon member to tie to knot.

3/12/01: CCM Magazine Article
Avalon gets some attention in the March issue of CCM Magazine, in the "Pop Life" section.
In this article, Janna Long hints that, though the group tries some new sounds, the upcoming CD "Oxygen" is very
signature for them. Expect an organic flavor similar to that on the group's second release, "A
Maze of Grace." Look for a lot of coverage on Avalon's soon to release album in the future!
Avalon's 5th studio release, "Oxygen", will enter stores on May 22nd. This date is subject to change.
