Andy and I have decided that we can use a break. We have talked about nothing else but the wedding for weeks and are planning to escape to Charleston this weekend for a long, lay-on-the-beach-and-hope-that-it'll-all-be-over-soon soak in the sun. We are the final stages of setting up the honeymoon: Andy's mother is sending us on a 5 day cruise to the Grand Cayman Islands. We are both very excited, probably me more than Andy since he's been on a cruise and to Europe before and I'm a traveling-outside-of-the-country virgin, so to speak.

Found out today that the man who was in charge of our reception has been fired.. and I haven't a clue why. I hope this doesn't cause a problem with anything; that's all I need at this point. It is now officially time to panic.. I still have so much to do. The wedding cake to be ordered, the flowers to be finalized, the chairs to be rented, ah, the sweet feeling of trepidation.

My wedding dress and attendants' gowns arrived today. I tried my gown on immediately and it is so gorgeous! Words cannot describe how perfectly beautiful this dress makes me, and what a big statement that is coming from me, one of the most self-conscious people I know. My sister Hilary tried on her dress Monday night and her dress was perfect also. Jodi won't be able to come down for at least another weekend but based on the other two dresses, hers should fit her exactly. I am so excited that things are coming together well.

I put the deposit down on the Table Rock Lodge today.. the site is great and very medievally... rock and log walls and a gazebo overlooking the lake.Just what I had in mind for our reception. The man in charge of the reception preparations is a bit flighty and well, weird, but he's certainly willing to please.
