WHERE IS MY BOAZ?

The Book of Ruth in The Holy Bible is the story of a woman named Naomi who had two sons. Both of her sons married women but later died. Naomi decided she would return to her own country. Both of her daughters-in-law loved her so much they wanted to go with her.

Naomi was a wise woman though. She believed these young women would be better off with their own families in their own land so they could find new husbands. So she told both of them to go back to their family in their own land.

One of them did what she told her to do, with a tearful farewell. The other young woman declared to Naomi, "Where you go, I will go. Your people will be my people. Your God will be my God."

Ruth gave up her own family ties because she loved her mother-in-law so much. Because of her sacrifice, God had plans for Ruth. She would become one of the lineage that would bring our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ into the world. She would be King David's great grandmother.

Naomi told Ruth to go glean the fields of a distant relative of hers named Boaz, which Ruth did every day. Boaz noticed Ruth and instructed his men to keep her safe and leave some grain for her to gather. Ruth went back to tell Naomi how kind he had been to her. Naomi told Ruth to glean the fields by day, then go lay down at Boaz feet at night. She felt that Boaz would do the right thing by Ruth and marry her, since Hebrew law said that her next of kin would be in line to marry her since her husband was dead.

Ruth did as she was told. Boaz was a wealthy man. When Boaz awoke and saw Ruth was laying at his feet, he covered Ruth with his cloak and told her there was another relative who was closer than he. He would talk to that relative and obtain the right to marry her.

That was exactly what Boaz did. He and Ruth then got married. Boaz took very good care of Ruth and Naomi. Ruth gave birth to Obed, the father of Jesse, the father of King David. Naomi was Obed's nurse.

Someone said that she had prayed for a friend of hers to be able to find her Boaz. She prayed for years for her friend to find a man who would take care of her and be happy. She did indeed meet her Boaz. They got married, and she was very happy.

I had never thought about finding a mate in such an unusual way, but it appealed to me. While I am no longer expecting to find my true soulmate, it could still happen for other women, who are younger and want one. Therefore, I created this webpage, in hopes that some of you will be able to find your Boaz through daily prayer.

Get your Holy Bible, turn to the Book of Ruth in the Old Testament, and read it for yourself. It could just as easily work for a man to find their Ruth as well.

Have you noticed that you have trouble finding a decent man? Most of the good men seem to be taken already.

Have you tried praying that God will send your Boaz or Ruth into your life? I suggest you try this and see what happens in your own life.

When you put God first in your life, He will see to it that you are taken good care of with your own needs being met so that you will be happy. It is very important to put God first in your life. The Bible says, "Seek first the kingdom of God and its righteousness, then all these other things will be given to you." "God will supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and He shall direct your path." "Ask, and it shall be given to you." Did you know that the center verse in The Holy Bible says, "Put your trust in God, not in man." Humankind is not reliable or dependable, but God is. He never leaves you nor forsakes you, neglects you, or abandons you when you need Him most.
