This is the final update to this page. I have received and cherished ALL the thoughtful comments that, you, the gamers, have given to me! Once again I would like to thank everyone for all their dedication to the cause that initially started this petition! If it were not for you, we would not have some of the games that we DO have today!! Continue the fight for freedom because without it we are all dead of the thing that our ancestors fought for! Feel free to e-mail me with comments but alas the fight is finally over. Thanks to everyone that made this a fight to remember!!!!!!!

If you have linked to this site then you probably have
already heard that "Thrill Kill" by Virgin Interactive has
been cancelled(two weeks from release) by Electronic Arts!
This is the first time I have ever created a webpage and it
is for the sole purpose of delivering the message of the
GAMER to those forces that set out to control what we see
and play!
As a background, for those of you who do not know,
Electronic Arts has been purchasing a lot of gaming
companies in the last few months. One of their
acquisitions was Virgin Interactive(VI). They allowed VI
to completely finish "Thrill Kill" and then announced they
would not publish it!
On top of that already disturbing news, EA will not sell
the rights to any other publisher! A spokesperson was
quoted as saying "Not the kind of title we want to be
associated with" and "Subject matter that didn't meet
our standards."(from Fastest Gaming News-Sept.23rd)
The question becomes - Why did EA buy Virgin?
Let me start by saying that I believe Electronic Arts to be
one the finest game developers out there. I own many games
that they have created and published and am not bashing
what they have accomplished in the past.
But, and this is a big BUT, they are putting a stranglehold
on the very facet of what gamers have come to expect from
them! Everything they do is 100% effort and ingenuity,
BUT, cutting gamers off from what they want is not
TOLERABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Where did EA get the money to acquire all of the companies
they have? Guess what, it is YOU - The GAMER!!!
ARE WE NOT THE ONES WHO PAVE THE WAY FOR THEIR EXISTENCE!!
So what can do we do?! There are several resolutions that
can be looked at which would CONTAIN the silent masses that
are becoming increasingly upset and disgusted as the days
go by!
1) This is the START! THIS IS AN ONLINE PETITION! There
is a guestbook at the bottom of the page that you can log
onto and electronically sign! This will be given to
Electronic Arts to show them we mean business!
2) Secondly, allow another publisher to pick up rights to
"Thrill Kill"! With the use of the ESRB ratings
system(approved by Congress), it would not allow anyone of
inappropriate age to buy the game!(EA's name would not
grace the credits-but contractual devices would make them
even more money.)!
3) Third, if these do not work, then set up an 800 line
for people to purchase the game! If you own a credit card,
then you are definitely of age! If you don't, then sending
in a check as a mail-order, with a copy of your drivers
license for proof of age, would be the next best offering!
Most people have seen screen shots of "Thrill Kill", but as
of now, not many will EVER be able to fully appreciate the
game!
I am one of the few that had the honor of being able to
play this extraordinary game at E3 in Atlanta last May!
Let me tell you this game is one of the most enjoyable
fighting games to ever grace the PSX console!
The graphics are superb, the fighting engine is tight, and
the innovation above anything you have ever experienced!!
The REAL KICKER to this game is one very special bonus that
no other game has given to PSX owners! IT IS FOUR PLAYER
COMPATIBLE! And no, I am not saying two people fight and
the winner fights a third and so on! THERE ARE FOUR PEOPLE
ON SCREEN, AT ONCE, DUKING IT OUT!
You can not imagine how it feels to sit there with three
other friends, side by side, beating them up with moves out
of Psycho! There is NO slow down in frame rate or control!

describe how excellent this game really is!
The programmers poured their hearts and souls into this
game, and it SHINES through!
I would like for all gamers to consider this! If EA can
censor our right to be able to obtain a game like
this(which has already been advertised through print and
other media-FALSE ADVERTISING ANYONE!) then what else is in
store for us down the road!
What else will company's do in the future? Will it affect
something you are looking forward to? Will it make you
upset when a game you are waiting for is dumped because
of forces that are IN CONTROL?!
I urge ALL gamers to sign this petition!!!! Even if
"Thrill Kill" is not your kind of game, the NEXT one could
be! If we do not support each other now, then we will
never be able to later!! Use the power - and use it
WISELY!!!!
