The Scullyslash Consortium has produced these guidelines to
assist you in posting discussion and stories to the list. If you have
any concerns about it, please consider addressing the Consortium privately.

All stories posted to the list will be archived at the
Scullyslash homepage
If you DO NOT want your story archived there, please include a
header to that effect, for example: "DISTRIBUTION: Please do not
archive." Some stories may not be archived due to content
concerns. You will be contacted if this affects your story.

If your story is longer, multipart, or part of an on-going series (ie,
Walking the Line, The Road Not Taken) you will be contacted with info about
getting it archived at the Dana Scully Slash Archive
The dssa is run by Tamy, and is being used to archive older
stories. As well as being a place to acess the longer stories, and the serials.

¨ ATTACHMENTS
Do not send attachments to the list as they are impossible for
some people's mailers to deal with. And are stripped from the Onelist
archives when they make them into digests, anyway

¨ THE CONSORTIUM
The Consortium is available to address specific concerns as well as
to give advice about fic, et cetera. If you have a problem or a
question, please consider contacting one of them privately.

We will not automatically cross post stories from the Scully Slash List.

If you would like to have your story cross posted, you must mention the

"Anywhere" will probably end up "nowhere".
Any Crossposting will be done about a week after the story originally
appears.

Posting stories for someone not on the list? Go right on ahead and post
it, as long as you have the author's permission.
And give the authors address for comments.

STORY CONTENT
Please exercise good judgement as to story content. Reading
depictions of non-consensual sexual situations really bothers some
people, so consider clearly keywording this type of story.
Including "real" people in your stories can also make readers
uncomfortable and will probably significantly decrease your
readership. The members of the Scullyslash Consortium are always
happy to give you advice about content before you post to the list.
Stories with “real” people in them (GA, DD, ect) will not be posted to the
webpage archive

Minor Fic
Stories which depict sex with or between minors fall into a grey area.
Considering the WebOwner lives in Illinois, land of really tight asses,
I, at this time, will not allow any minor fic on the website.
As for the email list-Consider this
Material which is completely legal where you live may be
illegal for another list member to even receive. So please think
long and hard about this before you post.

Ratings
Stories can have any ratings. We have had some fantastic PG rated stories
posted, as well as some XXX rated. Not all stories have to be graphic.
Anything is welcome here, as long as it is Female, slashy, and X Files.
Not even necessarily Scully Slash. Deslea posted her Samantha/Other slash
here, as well.

FORMATTING
Your story will be most easily readable if you restrict the line
length to 70 or less characters, use plain text (no curly quotes),
and separate paragraphs with a blank line. It is preferable to
break your story up into chunks of 60k or less.
Be sure to label each " part (1/1), (2/3), etc in the subject line and
consider adding "end part 1," start part 3," etc, to the text.

Adding the following information to the beginning of your story
will be helpful to your readers: title, author, email for
feedback, distribution, crossposting, episodes that are spoiled,
rating, keywords, summary. For example:

These are not required, but may encourage people to read your
story.

Keywords could include: B&D, character death, MSR, non-consensual
acts, crossover, humour, and anything else you can think of. You
don't have to include keywords, but you might want to note that you
are leaving them out deliberately.

DISCLAIMER
Be sure, when you post a story, to use at least the standard Disclaimer.
Look at any story to get an idea.
