As the Midway took up position behind the Vorta ship, the Midway's long
range sensor's picked up both the USS Quicksilver and Victorious headed for
an intercept course on their position. The Commodore tapped his comm
pin-"All senior staff, report to the briefing room on the double!", Lt..
Tok you have the bridge." By the time everyone showed up to the briefing
room the Commodore had everything ready. "OK, heres how I see it if Cliff
hasn't made arrangement's yet we will have to take back Kbee by force, as
it is we have enough ship's to handle what force the have here at the
moment, any thing to report Cmdr. Mitchell", "well sir right now the way we
have thing's set up it would be a plus if the Victorious took up position
on the left flank and the Quicksilver take up the right, and position the
other ship's accordingly" replied his XO....."OK, sounds like a plan..."
the Commodore tapped his comm pin, "Communication's send out a coded
transmission to the Victorious....Cmdr. Harkleroad when you arrive take up
the left flank of the Vorta ship, we want to make shure they dont make a
run for it with RAdm. Kbee, Higgins..out"...The Commodore sat their for a
moment..."I want security on full alert, if we have to I want to be able to
board the Vorta's ship, Transporter room, I want you to keep a lock on
RAdm. Kbee, If we need to we can beam her out. Communication's send a
message to the Nazgul, let Adm. A* know what were up to without tipping off
the Dominion ship's." Just then the Commodores comm pin chirped
again..."Higgins here"....."Sir I think you should come and take alook at
this........." the Commodore got out of his chair to make his way to the
bridge. As he got their he took a look at the view screen, three more Jem
'Hadar fighters were decloaking of the port bow.......... "Great" thought
the Commodore "well ladies and gentleman look's like we have the makin's of
a party........

"Commander Harkleroad, incoming message from Commodore Higgins, he
instructing us to take up the left flank when we arrive at his position."
The tac officer did a doubletake at his display and announced, "Commander
more Jem'Hadar warships are decloacking!!" The commander rubbed his brow
and then said, "Wonderful...I should have guessed that they wouldn't leave
their ships this outnumbered!" The commander walked over to the tac
display and started pulling up schematics and he called the chief engineer
to the bridge. As he waited for the engineer to arrive he turned to the
security chief and asked, "Do we have supplies in the armory for an
invasion party?" The security officer nodded, yes. "Okay, good," the
commander replied. As the chief engineer walked on the bridge the
commander signaled him over to the bridge engineering station. "Okay,
liuetenant tell me that with the completely refit ship of ours we can break
through the Jem'Hadar's shields and beam in an invasion force." The
engineer responded, "I don't think so, not unless we simultaneously bring
their shields down to at least 50% when we make the beam, and I doubt we
will will be able to get a good enough transporter lock to get them back.
Unless their shileds are completely down."
"Alright, prepare for the transport...we will need to be exact on our
timing if we try to get this done." The bridge crew looked at their CO a
little mystified. He was ordering them to prepare for an invasion of one
of the Jem'Hadar vessals when his cheif engineer just labeled it as not
possible. "We will be there in less than 10 minutes...scramble! We are
going to fire a full barage of quantum torpedoes and bring their shields
down as low as we can. Then I want an armed security force of 5 to beam in
to the Adm. Kbee's location. While our forces are securing Adm. Kbee, we
will continue our torpedo strikes and try to keep their sheilds down! Get
your team together and assemble in the transporter room!" The commander
patted his security chief on the shoulder and he returned to the command
chair. "Helmsman, once we fire our first torpedo begin evasive manuvers
Zeta."
"Open a secured channel to the Midway and inform the commodore of what is
about to happen...also, inform him that we will terminate this operation if
the situation changes."

"Teagra, encrypted subspace message to all ships approaching these
coordinates:
The USS Quick Silver had encountered five Jem Had'dar warships, plus three
and
the Vorta's ship.
Adm. A* had been in her ready room pouring over charts, reports and maps.
She
rose from her chair and took a moment to gaze out the porthole, the Vorta
ship
with RAdm. Kbee in her view.
Adrienne proceeded to the Bridge and took her chair, so engrossed in her
thoughts, she did not see much else.
"Teagra, hail the Vorta." As the Vorta's face came on screen, he looked
less
confident than usual.
"I see you have reinforcements. My compliments on your communications
encryption, we were unable to break it."
"Just a little program one of my cadets worked out. Are you ready to talk
trade now?"
"And what shall we trade? If you had the Vorta prisoner by now, I am sure I
would see him on screen."
Adm. A* sat back in her chair and dealt her best card. "I am sure by now
you
know we have ships on the way. Would not safe passage from this area be
more
valuable to you?"
The Vorta smiled, "My Jem Had'dar warriors are getting quite restless, a
skirmish is just what they need right now."
Adm. A* look sternly into the Vorta's deceitful smiling face. "Look at your
chances, you have eight Jem Had'dar ships and it is not likely any more
will
get here in time as we are too far away from the wormhole. The Cardassian
ships you signaled aren't coming. We have at least five Starships in this
vicinity now, do you really think you have a chance?"
The Vorta stopped smiling and paused, then lowered his voice. "The Jem
Had'dar
were born to die in the service of the Founders, I however, cannot serve
the
Founder's if I am dead. If I just turn over your RAdmiral to you, it will
not
bode well for me. Here is the deal I propose, you must TAKE your RAdmiral
back, meanwhile, I will personally make sure she is safe until you are able
to
get her. When you take her, you must take me as well."
"You would rather spend the war in a Starfleet Prison than return to your
Founder's as a failure, is that it?"
"That's it. If you try and beam her out, I have a device that assures I
will
accompany her. I may even be able to arrange to have the dispersions
shields
lowered so that you may transport us."
Well, it was the best solutions Adm. A* could see at the moment. She hated
the
Vorta for pushing them into a fight, she had hoped to avoid bloodshed. She
hated that he had put her in a position to decide for battle. All in all,
this
was not one of her best days.
"Fine, so it will be." Adm. A* said angrily. "End transmission!" she barked
at
Teagra. Of course, being a counselor by trade, Teagra understood.
"Begin encrypted message" Adm. A* figured she could use this encryption one
more time as the Jem Had'dar had not broken it yet, and even if they had,
she
did not care, let them know what their Vorta had planned. "Hailing all
ships,
we know we have eight Jem Had'dar warships, watch for others that may be
cloaked, also look out for Cardassian ships that may be simply waiting to
see
what happens. I am sending a copy of the conversation between the Vorta and
I.
He is to be taken prisoner, I repeat, taken prisoner ALIVE! He will be with
RAdmiral Kbee. I did not want it to come to this. Do what you must. Admiral
Paradis out."
