Sir, I've got the Akagi " shouted the Communication's officer "On Screen Ensign" replied the Commodore The Main view screen flickered a few times before putting the FAdm. on screen, it didn't look good, the Akagi's bridge was in a shambles, only a few bridge officer's remained and as it was the FAdm. wasn't in the command chair, but at the tactical station. "Sir, thing's don't look good, we need to get you out of here, we don't need to lose another ship, the Laslo just went down,. no survivors...." reported the Commodore And by looking at the FAdm. he knew what his answer was going to be.... " No, Commodore were holding thing's together on this end, just lend us a ha...." the comm link distorted and faded out back to the image of the Akagi under attack from the Dominion. The Commodore now turned got up out of his command chair and rushed to the communication's station.... "Damn it!, try to hail the Akagi again, I want to know what happened aboard that ship now mister!" barked the Commodore. The Poor communication's officer an ensign who wasn't supposed to be their but should have been in sick bay, had been called to duty as the communication's officer, when the normal Comm. officer went down. Toggling the display screen a few times and running some pattern check's she was able to restore a communication's link with the Flag ship of the USC. The Commodore looked up to the view screen where he thought he would see the Fleet Admiral staring back at him, instead all he saw was a darkened bridge...klaxon's ringing in the back round, and the computer chanting- "Warning warp core breach eminent, warp core overload in 5 minutes thirty second's" The Commodore stood there for a second surveying the damage of the Akagi's bridge. "Cmdr Mitchell, any life sign's?" quizzed the Commodore "Sir, yes but not many....." he replied "How bout the FAdm.....?" asking a question he really didn't want to ask Commander Mitchell played with the display in front of him trying to home in on the FAdm's life sign's."Sir I have them their faint but he's alive". The Commodore sighed, that was good to here. Now what to do about that warp core breach, and the evacuation of the Akagi and the FAdm. The Midway rocked again from side to side like a reminder that they were taking on damage to. The Commodore tapped his comm badge.... " Commodore Higgins' to all transporter room's, please start an emergency beam over of the Akagi and beam the FAdm to sick bay, we are preparing to lower the shield's to do that, stand by on my mark, Higgins...out.!" Now how where they going to survive while her shield's are down? "Umm sir" the comm officer perked up "there's a another ship dropping out of warp" "Who is it?" replied the Commodore, he new it couldn't be anyone from the 8th fleet the were ordered to stay near Vulcan. " Sir, it's the Nimitz..." replied the now confused comm officer. Timm sat their in his chair for a second, thinking this whole thing over, the thing was that the U.S.S. Nimitz, wasn't supposed to be ready yet, it wasn't to be launched until after he got back from this mission, and if it was the Nimitz, she is operating at 40% of normal. Starfleet's latest and newest addition the USS Nimitz, who was supposed to be under the commodores command for her shake down, after he returned the Midway to dry dock to go under a major refit. "Well, hail the Nimitz, ensign" asked the Commodore, as the Midway got rocked again. "Sir, Nimitz on screen" Standing before the Commodore on the Bridge of the Nimitz, which looked allot like a Intrepid Class bridge module, was Head of Starfleet Engineering, Captain Montgomery Scott. who was only here the 24th century because he was caught in a transporter buffer pattern, for a very long time. "Captain Scott, I thought I gave you Direct orders to stay at the Yard." asked the Commodore "Aye sir, I know ye' did, but I conna sit back and listen to the fleet report's of what tis' goin' on" Replied the robust engineer of a time gone by. "Captain Scott, what is the size of your crew?" asked the Commodore "100, fifty are an engineering team from the yard, the rest is a make-shift command crew" he replied. "OK, Scotty here's the plan...lay down some cover fire, while we supervise the evac of the Akagi" he said turning to the bridge engineering station " and Chief I want you to beam over and supervise the ejection of the Akagi's warp core"..........
**************************************************************************** Kbee was sat on the floor of her cell, wiping the blood, and mediating to ease the pain. Her head and arms, and legs and back ached. Her concentration was slipping. She watched as the Vorta approached.
**************************************************************************** Onboard the Nazgul
'Aye, Admiral. V'thnela out.' She calmly turned to the engineering crew. Many of them had overheard, some were avoiding her gaze, others were staring at her with shock and suddenly dry mouths. She searched for the calm faces, those who were keeping their cool under the incredibly stressful conditions. She looked for those that would meet her eyes. 'Ensign McKnight, Cadet Pharell, Crewman Matthews....', she paused, Matthews was grinning his head off again. Giving him a stern glace, she continued. 'Lieutenant Jones.....' Pausing again, she quirked an eyebrow, the only show of her surprise as Ensign Davies met her glance, swallowed, and continued to look her straight in the eye. '.... and Ensign Davies. Report to Transporter Room 2 for immediate beam over to the Jem'Hadar ship. Two boarding parties from the Victorious are aboard the ship, and it seems they need some help in maintaining control of the vessel.' Matthews started grinning like an idiot again, and she gave him another stern glance, but he was getting used to her now, and didn't let her sharp glance wipe the grin off his face. V'thnela decided to have a little talk with him later about that habit, but for now she dismissed them and took a moment to think of some dependable crew in Security. She tapped her badge, 'Chief Timothies and Leading Crewman Jacobson, report to Transporter 2. Lieutenant V'thnela out.' Without waiting for a response, she turned to one of the Ensigns, who had a slightly dazed look on her face, but was more in control of herself than some of the others. 'Ensign Daystar, you have Engineering until further notice. Keep power output at the maximums, and watch that left nacelle. The warp signature was fluctuating alarmingly before, you may have to vent some plasma to maintain stability.' The Ensign blinked, then snapped to attention. 'You can count on me, sir.' V'thnela returned the salute, then briskly walked to Transporter Room 2, where all the others were outfitting themselves with phaser rifles in addition to their standard phasers and tricorders. Chief Timothies gave her a quick nod as she entered, and she returned it, then grabbed a phaser rifle and quickly checked it's condition. She heard a quick slap, and turned to see Crewman Matthews nursing his right hand. 'Don't put your finger in the trigger guard, Matthews, or I'll hang you by your testi-'. The Chief halted, realizing that the Lieutenant probably wouldn't approve of him using a rather coarse slang phrase, but if he didn't know Vulcans better, he would have sworn she was smirking at Matthews. He turned back to Matthews and saw he was glaring at him and V'thnela indignantly. Sighing, he mounted the transporter pad. 'You know what I mean, Crewman', the threat implicit in his tone. Matthews licked his lips and swallowed, actually wiping that confounded grin off his face for at least three seconds. 'Yes, Chief.' He knew _exactly_ what the Chief meant. They all walked onto the pad beside the Chief, and V'thnela tapped her badge as she took the central cargo pad position. 'Bridge, this is Lieutenant Junior Grade V'thnela. We are prepared to beam aboard the Jem'Hadar vessel.' A slight pause, during which the Nazgul-A did a slight shudder at a particularly sharp maneuover. 'This is Admiral Paradis. You are cleared to beam aboard. Good luck.' V'thnela glanced around her team, then nodded at the Petty Officer at the Transporter controls. Soon they felt the tingle of transport, and arrived in a smoke-obscured corridor, not far from Engineering. Crewman Matthews drew in a deep breath, and promptly started coughing, trying to be as silent as possible. They fanned out quickly, the Chief and Leader taking tactical command with practiced ability. The Chief glanced at her, and she nodded in the direction of Engineering, seconding his opinion on their intended direction. Out of the smoke emerged two Jem'Hadar warriors, and Crewman Matthews and Ensign McKnight opened fire, taking them out quickly in a blaze of rapid-fire phaser pulses. The Chief piped up quietly, 'Well done, but they're the first of many. Don't get in close with them if you can help it. They'll snap you in half like a twig.' Alerted to the sound of battle, a group of about half-a-dozen Jem'Hadar came pelting down the corridor. The element of surprise gone, some of them managed to avoid the phaser rifle fire, and one leaped onto Cadet Pharell, then grasping her by her shirt-front, slammed her into the bulkhead, nearly knocking her out cold. V'thnela was stunned. The speed with which these Jem'Hadar moved was astounding! A mere second later she found herself face to face with one, and with no hesitation, snapped her palm up into it's nose, driving it's head back. The brief pause gave her time to bunch her fists together and drive them in a sweeping movement into it's neck, lifting it up off the deck and slamming it into the bulkhead with her Vulcan strength. She felt a stinging sensation along her right arm, and looked down to see blood welling from puncture marks made by spurs along the creatures jawline. Before she knew it, another one was within arms reach again, and the first one bounced straight off the wall to land on it's feet in front of her, in a ready stance, joining the second one. Great!, she thought, Now I have two to deal with. She quickly lost track of the others in the confusion, fighting for her life.
