Medical Systems:
Medical tricorders: are made on the basis of normal science ones but have sensors and scanners which are dedicated to bio sign rather than normal. The medical tricorder has a periphal (MP) which can be clipped on. This is a small hand held scanner that can be used to get closer and more acurte information. The MP can stand only and be used for up to 18 hours. The medical tricorders has an inbuilt library so that doctors can accses information on other races. The tricorder used only to be used on away teams but is now used as a first and last call in a sickbay itself as well.
Hypospray's: are a modern day equilivent of the 20th century hypodermic syringe. It is standard issue to all doctors wether or not they are in a sickbay. It allows the injection of medication into the bodies blood stream immediately. It does not create pain when used unlike its predescor. It allows great accuracy and is highly efficient. A small vial of medication is pushed into the bottom which is access when the trigger is pushed.
Biobeds: are the beds which are seen in a sickbay. They have incopareted into them and around them, bio sensors which allow the medical staff to see the patients condition without actually disturbing them. The primary biobed in any sickbay will have attached a surgical support frame. All biobeds are equipped with clamshells, which contain highly sensitive medical scanners.
