As you walk along the sandy shore tired and thirsty you stumble onward. You fall flat on the sand in exhaustion, when you awake you see a large beacon of justice throughout the land, Salamandastron! You have heard legends of the mountain and stride forward toward a small entrance. You are greeted by two hares in blue cloakes with lances guarding the entrance. They ask you but one question, are you a vermin? If you are they cross thier lances and warn you to leave. But if you are friend they simply say, Pass. Behind you they step back and roll a boulder into place for the night. A storm is comming and you are safe in Salamandastron, the Headquarters of the Long Patrol. You feel at home.
Once inside you are greeted by a large badger with three hares. These are prosperous times and you see many creatures moving around the giant cavern that you just entered. You see otters, squirrels, hares, badgers, mice, moles, and even some friendly foxes. The badger explains to you that in these times of peace all good creatures are welcome amoung the mountain. One of the hares informs you that Lord Sunflash is in charge of the mountain. You are also told that Colonel Basil Stag Hare is the Hare in Command of the Long Patrol Serving under Lord Sunflash, they are great friends of bygone days. You are asked if you would like to tour the mountain. You answer yes and a comical group of hares rush forward in their imperial uniforms, blue as ever.
Your tour guides pop out from behind a rock and tell you of a the places to go. There are so many places to explore. The hares ask you to tell them where you wish to go. Afteryour tour you are invited to stay a while and have dinner.
