Chapter 4
The plane had been flying for about 45 minuets now. The sky was turning gray and there was some turbulence. Alexis was reading a book about a murder. Zac was eating jelly-beans. Taylor was listening to Arrowsmith on his head set. And Isaac was writing about something in a notebook. Just then the pilots voice boomed over the speakers. "I would like everyone to please buckle your seat belts. Alexis was so absorbed in her book that she did not even realize that the sky was a dark, dark gray. Isaac turned around and shoved Taylor. Taylor, put on your seat belt said Zac. What's going on said Alexis to Isaac. Oh, don't worry it is just a little storm. This happens all the time. They can Handle it.
Alexis began to read her book again. All of the sudden the plane jolted up and Alexis screamed. She heard other people scream to. Her book was hurled from the seat and landed over by Taylor. The plane settled down and evened out as if nothing had happened. "What happened Alexis asked timidly. "It was just some really bad turbulence said Taylor and he through Alexis her book.
Chapter 5
Alexis sat nervously in her seat. Every few seconds the plane would bounce. She would try to concentrate on her book but she just couldn't stop thinking about the plane. Zac looked pretty shook up also. The sky was still a dark gray and she could hear thunder.
Zac Hanson thought flying was real cool. But, the thunder and turbulence scared him. Just then, a piercing sound filled the air. It sounded like some sort of electricity. Zac jumped in his seat. He could see that Alexis was uncomfortable to. "what's that smell"? Said Isaac in a worried tone. "I don't know" said Taylor. Alexis studied the smell. "It smells like burning metal"she said. "Your right said Isaac". "that is what it smells like." All the sudden the piolets voice sounded over the speaker. "I don't want anyone to get alarmed but lightning struck the tail end of the plane. On enjoin is out. We are going to land at the next airport. But, for safety only, would everyone please assume crash position . Thank you."
Chapter 6
Alexis wanted to scream she did not like this. She pulled the safety card from the pockets in the seat. She fallowed the directions. Zac, Taylor, and Isaac had already gotten into the right position. A mask dropped from the top of the seat. Alexis put it on just like she had seen people do in movies just before the plane crashed. Crash. Would the plane crash? She prayed that it would not.
Mr. Jacobs, the piolet tried to concentrate on flying. He kept trying to radio the airport but the radio was broken and he was fed up with trying. He put his elbows on his knees. There was no way he could land a plane without radioing the airport first. He would have to find some where else to land. The problem was that the plane was not a small plane. It would be almost impossible to land it anywhere but on a run way.
