The Maze Rats
It was only a matter of time before one of the big boys took notice ofour little burg. The Warlord Kang sent a bunch of his boys down here with orders to take control by hook or by crook. They call themselves the Maze Rats and anybody travellin' on the water had best beware of 'em. They're ornery enough to send you to the bottom on general principles. It won't be long before they cut Gomorra off from every ghost rock mine in the Maze.

Notes: This deck has alot of money and gets strikes out very quickly. This combined with all the strikes with control points should make this difficult for your opponent. Eventually your deck should degenerate to pulling strait flushes in combat, but with the mix of events keep you from losing lowball. One word of caution hold the only winged 'em untill It was a mountian lion goes off. with that combo you save yourself if it only affects you, or if it affects both you and your opponent. I know it's cheesy but its effective.

Notes: Move Cpt. Sim, Boothe, and another Maze Rat to opponent's strike. Boot the extra guy to take the strike. Send Sim and gang home. Send Boothe and another Maze Rat to another strike that is not your own. Boot to own it, send Boothe home. Gain control of as many strikes as possible. Eventually, you will get weapons, use them wisely. Deploy weapons preferably on stud dudes. If the other guy wants a fight, let him have it. The shootout goal is a Dead Man's Hand. If at any time your opponent cheats or even multiple times, introduce him to the Jackelope Stampede. If they don't hate that card and the Maze Rat home before the end of the game, you played it all wrong. Note: This deck beat a Flock Fondue deck using Burnt Offering. Notes: This deck is fairly straightforward. Throw your hexes on Po Yu (And Nic's deck the moment you can). Most of the hexes have difficulties of around five, so even a bicycle can make it, but you want to put most of your low cards in play anyways. This isn't that much of a shootout deck and most of the Clubs focus around weakening the opposing posse so you can survive a shootout. Only when you start getting your big dudes out can you maul someone in a shootout. None of your clubs ace themselves in hopes of pulling straight flushes with clubs. This deck also has 14 CP in it, so winning with your own CP shouldn't be a problem, but be aggressive in regards to other folk's strikes. Claimjump them using the Rats home ability, then back off. Don't worry about keeping the money or the CP as you'll have enough, just deny the CP to others. If I had a spare The First Bank is Robbed! it'd be in here as this deck works best at depriving players of money to do what they want. The two! Buckets Nelsons are also in here to take advantage of his ability and the Maze Rats poor shootout abilities. Don't be afraid to dump your entire hand to make five throwaway studs, as these are the obvious choices to be aced, and five extra cards drawn can't hurt at all. Also, don't be afraid to lose any of your small dudes. The only starting dude you /really/ want to keep alive is Po Yu. I've done quite well with this deck against even non-bicycle decks, including Law Dogs, Rangers and especially Sweetrock.

This is my new experimental "lots and lots and lots of shootout actions" deck. It will form a flush every single time. Nothing else. Just a flush. However with all the things like Back Was To Me, Pants Down, SIYE, etc. your opponent is likely to go bust on his draw. The Jackelopes are there to deal with decks that can pull full houses out of 5-6 cards (they are dead in lowball =). 3 Avarices you say! Avarice with Rats ends up costing 1 upkeep (he makes them +8 instead of +4, then he costs 5 each turn...), AND he lets you get those strikes. The CP strikes are meant both as CP for "I win" and as bait so you don't have to use your Kidnappings and Throw Downs if you don't have to.

A few things: The Sharks are great for buffing up a Martyr's Cross. The deck starts with 8 or 10 GR. More than enough to drop a decent sized strike. By turn 4-5 you should have a decent production. Experienced Nash gets those guy's off your strikes and into your home. You just drag them in and rough them up a little.
If you Massacre Someone at a strike they cannot pay the 3 because there is no adjacent location. It's also great for nailing a turtle. Put the Den next to your home and protect it. It is your only defense against events. For those without a bunch of episode 1&2 rares, swap a Crack Shot for another SIYE.

This deck is hella fun to play, just start with Marko, Mitobu, and Sun Shu Jen, give 'em holdout knives, and kamikaze into opponents. Need money? Raid. Perhaps a QDH or Jack's Right? Phantom Fingers. The deck is all about stealing. The Heavy Rains are by far the key to the deck, though. This takes advantage of the ability of the Maze Rats while completely screwing over your opponents. If they have high-production strikes out, take 'em, and if you've got a Maze Runner you won't even have to bother fighting. Pile on the dudes, steal all the strikes, and Arson what you can't take away. It's as simple as that.
Also, since there's 15 sixes in the deck, it's real easy to pull a few good hands. Have fun!

The main strength of this deck is the fact that you can keep most of your dudes in your home and still have them available for shootout in any of your strikes by using a shortcut on a dude to get him out there and the buffalo rifles on any dudes in your home (booted or unbooted) to join in the fight afterwards.
Also, a good tactic is to use your phantom fingers (which again can be used from your home to ANY strike since they are all considered adjacent for the Maze Rats) to steal any weapons away from dudes before the fight and then use the rooftop sniper in conjunction with Sun Shu-Jen who would then get a +2 bullet bonus against that dude making him a 4 stud. With this tactic you will be able to reduce the size of your opponent's posse during the fight with little danger of losing since you can choose the dude that Sun Shu-Jen will fight. Also, due to the number and value of the action cards (all are 9 thru K) you will eventually be assured of drawing at least a flush if not a straight flush during shootouts.
With regards to the deeds, the strikes can be protected fairly easily due to the Maze Rats ability, however, the few in town deeds should be placed strategically around Lord Grimley's Manor to ensure that you will not lose control of them.
Finally, because of the high value of the cards in this deck and the potential high ratings of your hucksters, most pulls should suceed fairly easily
