Champions
This year West added Heath Groom's name to the Wall of Fame. Heath placed 6th at the KS 6A state tournament. Heath wrestled 4 great years at West and won many medals. Heath was a 3X state qualifier and won 5 matches at state in all. Heath plans to attend Rolla University in Rolla, Missouri this fall.
Brock Gentry
Brock came in as a brand new wrestler and won 30+ matches, set a single season pin record and won regionals. He did this as a freshman.

Chris Jewett
Chris finished his 4 year career at West qualifying for state 3 times. He was a 4 year letterman and finished his senior year with a regional championship and 3rd place finish at the 2002 state tournament. Chris finished off his career with a pin against the #1 ranked wrestler at 130lbs in Kansas 6A. Chris is currently serving for the US Navy.

Karl Kammerer
In Karl's two years at West, he placed 6th twice at state and won a regional title in 2003. He is studying Chemistry at Iowa State.

Matt VanDeelen
Matt has wrestled at West for 3 years and in his first year as a varsity wrestler won 20+ matches and was ranked as high as #2 in the state at 275lbs. Matt was a regional champion and just fell short of placing at state.
