Committees
Section 1. The Mesa Directiva shall consist of M.E.Ch.A. de Pasadena City College Coordinators.
Section 2. The duties and responsibilities of the Mesa Directiva are as follows:
A. Shall organize activities and events for M.E.Ch.A. de Pasadena City College.
B. Shall establish an agenda for the General Assembly meetings.
C. All actions taken by the Mesa Directiva must be approved by the General Assembly prior to implementation.
D. Emergency actions that must be dealt with immediately may be taken and implemented by the Mesa Directiva without prior approval by the General Assembly. However, General Assembly must be notified of the actions, in writing, at the earliest possible General Assembly meeting.
E. The Mesa Directiva meetings shall be open to all Mechistas, but only coordinators have the power to make motions, second, amend, and vote on motions. Non-Pasadena City College Mechistas are not allowed to attend meetings of the Mesa Directiva without approval by the Mesa Directiva.
F. The Mesa Directiva may close meetings to Mechistas only if personal topics relating to the member are to be discussed.
G. Minutes of each Mesa Directiva meeting must be provided, upon request, to the General Assembly at the next General Assembly meeting.
H. All coordinators shall have one vote at the Mesa Directiva meeting.
I. A rotating chair system shall be established and implemented at the Mesa Directiva and General Assembly meetings.
J. Emergency session of the Mesa Directiva must be called by a Mesa member and may be conducted officially after achieving quorum. (50% + 1 coordinator).
K. Emergency General Assembly meetings can and must be called by a General Assembly member with at least 72 hour notice to the General Assembly.
Section 3. All committees
shall be responsible for their own respective publicity.
