PASSING ON THE FLAME

Our own Allan Dawson passing on the Olympic Flame
at 3PM on Friday 16th June 2000 at Marcoola Beach.

More Flames
When the Peat Swamp west of the Airport caught alight in DEC.91 it smouldered for weeks afterwards.
In these situations our Volunteers are all that stand between your home and the flames.
Your Local Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade is based at Mudjimba and draws members from Pacific Paradise to Yaroomba   Phone 5448 7126 to Join the Team.

Followed by the Flood
After the choking smell of the smouldering Peat  last year, we were happy to see the rain after Christmas.
But on FEB.25 1992 we thought this was too much.

Beach Erosion
We are fortunate to have the CoffeeRock underlying our beach as it STOPS serious erosion.
But it is still disturbing when it's exposed all along the beach.
